November 21, 2013, Izzy and I got into a car accident that totaled his car. We walked away from the accident and continued our big at Normandale, it was our last big Phi Theta Kappa event the “Like Jobs: Carnival”. Through the stress and strains of being international honor students and being well...us, we took any pain as part of the job. Soon these pains were getting worse and worse. After a few months of discourse with the insurance companies for some sort of settlement, the other driver had admitted fault at the scene to the officer, we realized we needed to take legal action. As part of our settlement we are receiving treatment three times a week for a year. Both of us had sprained spines, Izzy had a misaligned pelvis and I had a pinched nerve in my neck. Slowly our bodies are happily receiving the treatment positivity. Though it does add another stress on our unbelievably packed schedule, going to and from the clinic three time a week is a lot of time to give up. We receive our treatments at the Lake Street Chiropractic Clinic, which is located at 1518 Lake Street in Suite...
Jay's Journal is an interesting book written by Jay. The story is about Jay and how he was led into witchcraft and the occult and using drugs by his girlfriend and others. The author tells how Jay was led into all of this, and it also tells how he got his two best friends into using the same stuff and into the occult also known as the O. The author describes how he learned that the human race was afraid of mind over matter techniques and learned how to use them himself. He was able to levitate small objects and see peoples auwa and aura. This is a great book because it helps some people that deal with the same problems to see what might happen if they choose to follow the same path. I really liked this book because it might help people deal with this type of stuff, it was written in a real person's journal and described what led to his death, and I like how it says what happened every day of his life.
Journal Entry #1 Wiesel says this because he wants to keep the Holocaust from happening again. He probably meant that it is selfish to keep something to yourself when it is important and you can prevent it from happening. When he was being tortured, the other citizens did nothing to help. Maybe he just wants to make up for what others did not do for him. I agree and disagree with his statement.
... of the treatment methods that I previously mentioned. She also put a great deal of effort into resisting treatment, which in my research I found is actually fairly common. Several studies reported that, although symptom remission could be obtained for 27% of patients within 4 weeks and 45% within 5 years following treatment initiation, 20– 30% of patients reached a treatment-resistant status on the other side. (Kanahara, et al., p. 1)”
It is unfortunate that accidents that result in injuries are a part of life. Further more it is also unfortunate that often the party responsible for said accident do not feel compelled to offer compensation to the party affected. However in spite of this, there is still hope for the injured party thanks to personal injury lawyers. They are tasked with representing their clients who suffered from these events while making sure that their clients receive the compensation that they deserve. Ultimately personal injury lawyers play a big role with regards to safety initiatives by helping those injured, which is something that we all should aspire to do.
Greg is an individual who has experienced a traumatic event while being intoxicated while being on the job. Greg was a paramedic and had come to a bad accident where a five-year-old boy was injured. The young boy had several injuries and Greg was responsible for providing him with the proper care. The unfortunate part is that Greg was intoxicated while on the job and he was not thinking clearly while making decisions involving the boys care; as a result, the boy’s death could have been prevented. This event turned Greg’s life upside down, this never would have happened if Greg would not have been intoxicated while being on the job.
At Ten P.m on September 23, 2006, my mother Kelli Elizabeth Dicks was hit by a car on Route 146 southbound trying to cross the high speed lane. She was being picked up by a friend. Instead of taking the exit and coming to the other side of the highway, her ride suggested she run across the street. The impact of the car caused her to be thrown 87 feet away from the original impact zone and land in a grassy patch of land, her shoes stayed where she was hit. She was immediately rushed to Rhode Island Hospital where she was treated for serious injuries. When she arrived at the hospital she was rushed into the operating room for an emergency surgery. The amount of injuries she sustained were unbelievable. She broke 18 different bones, lacerated her liver and her spleen, ruptured her bladder, and she collapsed both lungs. When she went in for her emergency operation, and had her

It’s May 5, 2012. It’s a Saturday night after a stressful week of school. It’s an ordinary spring day. We had been at Truman Lake on the water all day, looking forward to a great night of racing. The sun rose up, the heat was reaching the upper nineties, and conditions were beautiful for a night filled with racing. My uncle had box tickets to the Impact Night at Wheatland Speedway. My mom, dad, brother, and three of our family friends all piled into our seven passenger SUV to head down to Wheatland, MO. Little did we know what was in store. The races started off intense and every race had at least one wreck. After a long day, we were driving home. Exhausted, I had just dozed off on my mom’s shoulder when out of nowhere on Highway 83, we swerved off the road to avoid getting hit head-on by a drunk driver. Sliding every which way through the ditch, we hit a school bus sign; only feet away from guard rail. Thanks to my dad’s retired dirt track racing skills and someone watching over us, everyone in that car is alive today.
Ever been to a drunk driving trial? On Wednesday the 5th of October, I would experience a very touching event. This event was called the Mock Crash Trial put on by the sorority Pi Beta Phi. They held this in the auditorium of the Student Union. The event was attended by many students involved in a variety of greek organizations as well as any other student that attends The University Of Toledo.

As a child I was raised by my young father, Edmund, and my older brethren Nigel. My mother had left us many years ago. She, and my father could not stand one another, and spent most of their time bickering about such nonsense. It never came as a surprise to me when my mother left us, as I got older, I knew it was bound to have happened someday. If I must speak the upright truth, it never bothered me too many that my mother was not around, she was a mad woman to say the least, she was never fain with anything, I remember her much being stubborn, and aloof. Never have I felt her to be anything like a mother. Although, the fighting had stopped, my father became ill, not with such anything of a disease, I prefer to believe that he was heartbroken. He expected my mother to make her voyage back home, whilst I believed she was skulking, or rather found herself a much new suitable life or family.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimates, “More than 10,000 young people in the United States are killed and 40,000 are injured in auto accidents when alcohol is involved” (“Understanding The Effects Of Alcohol: Drunk Driving”). Unfortunately, Jack was one of those individuals. Newly twenty-one, Jack was thrilled by the privilege to finally be able to drink legally. It was two o’clock in the morning, and the air was cold and dry. After a long evening of playing pool and enjoying drinks, Jack was now headed to his cozy home where his girlfriend was awaiting his arrival. The road was covered in a slight layer of pure white snow, as the December flurries began to set in. Jack knew there was snow on the road, so he drove along at a safe and careful speed. What he did not realize was that he slowly was gaining speed. As the alcohol began to catch up with Jack’s body, tiredness overcame him and he gradually dozed off. The next think he knew, he was lying in a hospital bed with his girlfriend apprehensively watching him. Once he regained consciousness, he was informed of his accident. He had skidded into the adjacent ditch, because of the slippery roads, and crashed into a tree line. His car looked like a piece of crumpled up wrapping paper on Christmas morning. Doctors said it was miraculous that he was even alive, but Jack was astonished to find out that he would never walk again. Although it may not seem like it to him or his family, Jack was very lucky to have had the accident he did. By making the decision to drive drunk, he could have risked an innocent individual’s

As we were eating some sleazy greasy food, I obviously had to tell my friends about running from the law and my involvement. After telling all my friends about my night so far they all had a good laugh. Later that night when we were leaving the Waffle House the law was behind by my car running the tag. Once the law left we definitely decided it would be a good decision to go home. However, when we started to leave I put the petal to the metal. We fish tailed the car sideways, and as I was trying to regain control of the wheel I accidentally over corrected. If one knows anything about driving cars to fast and or wild, one of the biggest mistakes one can make is to over correct. Following my big mistake the car spun out of control off the road, into the ditch, up a hill, and finally came to a rest once I had hit a power pole with the rear bumper. As if the night had not already been embarrassing enough for me, this car accident put the amount of embarrassment I felt over the
