Danza Kuduro is my favorite international song of all time. What makes this song so important to me is that fact that I do not know the words to the song and I love it because it makes me feel good. The tone of voice while Don Omar sings seems very up beat and cheerful and puts me in a great mood. Without understanding the words to the song it forces you to focus on the beat of the song. The warm summer evening. The butterflies in the stomach. The determination and desire to win. This is a moment that many young men experience - Little League Baseball. But, unfortunately, schools lacking funding are looking to cut costs by getting rid of youth sports. That is when Dick’s Sporting Goods, a company with resources to bring attention to this problem, steps up to bat. Their message is effective through the emotional and ethical tie it creates in the audience through the story of a young man who overcomes tragedy through succeeding on the baseball diamond. Relying heavily on pathos and ethos, this message touches the hearts of the audience, calling them to step up as well.
The importance of these, is that it would bring the attention of the audience. The band performed about 13 songs in total. It was a mixture of Banda songs and Corridos. The band’s songs talked about a lover and the longing of a loved one. The audience reacted in a good way. They were dancing of the floor section and they were cheering on the band, others were singing along with the singers meanwhile, others were recording them on their cell phones.
The music in this film adds a good touch of hope, tension, and danger at the right points in time. It is really hard to see what is going to happen next because it’s not scripted, and a great concern arises when the children being follow go missing, as it really happens to a lot of people coming across the borders. Bodies of unidentified people turn up constantly like in the intro of the film, and those remains are saved just in case families search for them. “La Bestia” itself symbolizes different things to the different migrants like a dangerous journey with light a light at the end of the tunnel.This film would greatly interest the young because it shows the harder side of someone their age might go through. Just when you think your life is hard, you see what others have to go through to have a fraction of what most take for granted.
Over time Tejano music became my favorite. I feel this music has so much feeling and love in it and at times it makes me emotional. "Corrazon", by Intenso, always reminds me of an old heart break and I no matter what everytime I hear it I have to sing along. Every time I want to feel sad and happy all at once, I turn the radio to a Tejano station. I feel my roots in the music that our culture has created; I don't believe Tejano music could be taken away from me now.
Baseball, America’s pastime, is embedded in the fabric of society. The players and teams have come and gone, but the thing that remains constant is baseball’s ability to unite people as well as families. My own personal experience of this came right after September 11th, 2001. Following the tragedy that was 9/11, the country needed something to help everyone return to normalcy. In our moment of weakness and uncertainty, baseball helped calm my nerves. Fifty three thousand three hundred and twelve brothers stood up in unison and took back their lives. The electricity of that game, the sense of regularity in my life, and the knowledge that millions of people were finding comfort together with me during such a hard time, helped me feel a sense of closure that the worst was behind us.

A travel of over 3000 miles for some, a 210 mile drive for me, just to arrive at the biggest gathering of over 1,500 twelve year olds; all just to play baseball. The only place that would be suitable for such an event is Cooperstown Dream Parks, every baseball players heaven. Cars have come to Cooperstown from everywhere for this week long tournament. I met children my age from all over the United states. I became friends with kids from Ohio, Illinois, California, I even met a player from Puerto Rico who barely spoke any english. The windows of everyone 's car decorated with the names and numbers of teams and players. Excited baseball teams spill from their Barracks and hustle toward the already crowded seating area. To the track! To the wall! It is gone and the crowd goes wild! This is the sound of a professional baseball player hitting a homerun. Many people love the sport of baseball but most of them do not know what it actually takes to be a player. Throughout the year a professional baseball player is constantly involved with aspects of the sport. Being able to maintain this takes a numerous amount of dedication from the players. Loss of sleep, sacrifice of time, and being able to constantly travel shows how much dedication a professional baseball player has.
The announcer began announcing our team to start the introduction for the game. Since I was the lead-off batter, my name was echoed over the park first. It was at this time that the feeling elevated; the feeling that makes every baseball field so special. As my teammates yelled for me, while I ran to the nearest baseline and faced the crowd, the feeling gave me goose bumps and raised the hairs on the back of my neck. The feeling is so amazing that it will keep me playing baseball for as long as possible because it makes my love for the sport that much more. I can't even begin to explain the complex feeling I get when I walk on a baseball field, but that feeling will always be cherished and hopefully when I pass on my love of baseball to others, they will too understand what that special diamond makes me feel like.
