The present and permanent constitution of Pakistan is formulated under his guidance when he was in power after the fall of East Pakistan. These are not the tactics of a diplomat. One cannot convince someone by pointing out one’s flaws. Moreover at some occasions he makes use of rude words. For example using a ‘short sighted’ word for Indians and declaring that they have no vision, in page 2, paragraph 4, line 1). And in the same time he asks for better relations between Pakistan and India. A good diplomat is the one who thinks for the country first and then for himself but Bhutto throughout his speech shares personal references and keep his country in the background. For example he says,” Yesterday my eleven year old son telephoned me from Karachi and said "Do not come back with a document of surrender. We do not want to see you back in Pakistan if you do that My people must know. I have not come here to accept abject." I will not take back a document of surrender from the Security Council. I will not be a party to the legalization of aggression” (page 1 paragraph 3 line 14). Addressing on such a serious issue speaker should be aware of the principles of diplomacy. Moreover Bhutto says,” I have got no stakes left for the moment. That is why I am speaking the truth from my heart” (page 2 paragraph 2 line 1). Question arises that what he means from stake? Is that about East Pakistan? Is that East Pakistan that he loses at that moment? But the history tells that …show more content…
If he does then it will be clearer for readers to know the nature of events that lead to the fall of East Pakistan. This fall is due to the injustice that politicians of West Pakistan did to the people of East Pakistan. It was this injustice that provided India with a chance to exploit the people of East Pakistan, to make them against the West Pakistan. In general elections of 1971 Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto won most of the seats in West Pakistan and Sheikh Mujeeb Ur Rahman, leader of Awami league, won most of the seats in East Pakistan and the overall election was won by Awami League. The results of the elections were as follows: Awami league swept in east Pakistan while Pakistan People’s party won 81 seats out of 138 in west Pakistan(dawn). According to justice, power should be transferred to Awami league but due to the racist minds of most of the politicians in West Pakistan this was not happened (Tanqeed). That creates a sense of discrimination among the people of East Pakistan. Moreover Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto is the one who after the results of general elections of 1971 raise a slogan “tum wahan hum yahan” meaning you (I.E. East Pakistani now the Bengalis) are no longer compatible. This slogan further increases the distance between East and West Pakistan and after that, civil disobedience gain momentum in East Pakistan. Furthermore
Mary Fisher's speech on HIV and Aids was executed extremely well in almost every way possible. Out of all the aspects of Mary's speech, I felt her establishment of common ground is what made her speech so great. Pearson, Nelson, Titsworth, and Hosek (2016) says “common ground occurs when you and your audience share an understanding of the world”(p.246). Mary did a great job of sharing her understanding and views of HIV and Aids, which is helping to establish common ground with the audience. Also, Mary disclosed things about her personal life that made her establishment of common ground even greater with the audience. All in all, Mary’s use of common ground did great things for her during this speech about HIV

Elie Wiesel, a holocaust survivor, delivered The Nobel Peace Prize Acceptance Speech, in Oslo on December 10, 1986. He started his speech off by reciting the following prayer: "Barukh atah Adonai …shehekhyanu vekiymanu vehigianu lazman hazeh"—"Blessed be Thou…for giving us life, for sustaining us, and for enabling us to reach this day." Then, after his speech, the people thanked him for everything he had done to help humankind make peace. With a profound sense of humility, he accepted this honor.
Cesar Chavez uses morals and his audience fear of destruction to justify his stance on non-violent protests . Martin Luther King jr was an activist and civil rights leader that did not use violence to get his point across like many other activists at that time. Cesar Chavez wrote on the anniversary of his death explaining why using nonviolence is the way to advocate rights for those in need. His article was put in a religious organization that helped people who were in need of help. Cesar Chavez uses morals as a way to appeal to the religious side of his audience. Cesar Chavez also uses the fear of losing power to prove that doing nonviolent protests are the right way to spread his cause.
September 11, 2001, is a day that will go down in history and never be forgotten. On this day in time, Islamic terrorists attacked the World Trade Center in New York City, as well as The Pentagon building in Washington, D.C. The terrorists, who were affiliated with Al Qaeda, were led by the one and only, Osama Bin Laden. Nine days after this devastating attack on our country, President George W. Bush addressed Congress with an unplanned State of the Union address. Bush used great amounts of tragedy with a direct vital tone to deliver a very important message. Ultimately, this message would reach out to the American people as a whole, not only for remembrance of the people who lost their lives, but also as a plan of action for what would lie ahead.
George W. Bush’s “9/11 Address to the Nation” is a speech in which he talks about the catastrophic event on September eleventh, 2001. Two airplanes crash into the Twin Towers in New York City on this day, shocking the entire world. He addresses this speech to the people of America on the night of the disastrous event, to let the people of the United States know what is going on. This speech explains how the United States is a strong country, the motives behind the event, as well as to bring the United States together and stronger.
The Nation will not be the organ of any party, sect, or body. It will, on the contrary, make an earnest effort to bring to the discussion of political and social questions a really critical spirit, and to wage war upon the vices of violence, exaggeration, and misrepresentation by which so much of the political writing of the day is marred.(Original Prospectus)
A truly dramatic moment in history occurred on April 20, 1814, as Napoleon Bonaparte, Emperor of France and would-be ruler of Europe said goodbye to the Old Guard after his failed invasion of Russia and defeat by the Allies.
Abraham Lincoln, known for his revolutionary campaign that was the first to state slavery was wrong. History portrays Abraham Lincoln as someone who wanted equal rights for all races that statement is not necessarily true. He wanted the slaves to be free but did not think that whites and blacks could live peacefully together. He changes the way he words things in his speeches in order to gain both sides of the disagreement in order to hold office. His views on slavery increases dramatically while the United States becomes closer to fighting in the civil war.
This speech was composed of messages towards his people claiming the standard of ‘greatness’ not only to himself but also to his people. Marcos used of rhetorical devices had help him to convince his people about this idea. Rhetorical devices such as anaphora, alliteration, rhetorical question, metonymy and hyperbole were used in his speech. The intensity of Marcos’ speech was built through gallant statements and anaphoric repetition. Every repetition constructs on the one before and strengthened by Ferdinand Marcos’ increasing passion. For example, “By your mandate”, brought ideas about how Marcos connects with and asked for his people’s permission for making the Philippines a better nation. He used inclusive language to express that he includes his people, not only his dream but also his people’s. Examples of this were “It is our nation.” and “We are in crisis.” Marcos also used hyperbole “I have heard the cries of thousands and clasped hands in brotherhood with millions of you.” for example, to let his people know that he listen and he understand the grieve they had. These were the ways he approached his people with the sense of nationalism, reminding them that similar to their ancestors, they could also achieve heroism by considering and living the principled culture of a useful

Throughout history there have been many great figures that populate the conscientiousness of humanity. The great philosophers of the past and the industrious thinkers of the present all of whom have had a great impact on the world and how people view it. Bill Gates would be considered one of the greatest minds of our times. Bill Gates is not only considered a technological entrepreneur but, one of the greatest contributors to global equality. In Bill Gates ' Harvard commencement address I believe the main idea is that as the younger generation that has more than any other generation should be giving more of themselves than any other generation, regardless of the gender, race, sexuality or anything else that makes those giving or receiving

...dia must realize that only through compromise and negotiation can a resolution be hammered out. This whole issue would not exist if it wasn’t for the Indian army’s heavy handedness and violation of basic human rights, to alienate the people of Kashmir. Current trends show this to continue, so the Kashmiris will not be pacified. Pakistan must also try harder to prevent militants gaining entry into the Indian side of Kashmir and clamp down on religious extremists who train the extremists. That way they can gain the moral high ground in the dispute, with India having no more excuses to commit atrocities. There must be a great deal of trust for both nations to pull their armies out of Kashmir. The success of the plan depends mostly on the United Nations. It has to agree to put its troops in jeopardy, spend substantial amounts in Kashmir and take care of the state for a short period of time. Rome was not built in a day, goes the old proverb, and the “Garden of Eden” will not return to serenity in one either. This investment is worthwhile if there is even the slightest chance that there may finally be peace in the forests of the Kashmir Valley…one less nuclear flashpoint to worry about.
