Working with animals has been a lifelong ambition of mine. The wellbeing of the creatures that we share this planet with is an ideal that I prioritize above anything else. I want to make a difference in the lives of animals in need, and I needed a career path that would allow me to pursue this passion. With this wish in mind, I chose to become a zoologist and to seek my degree at Southeast Missouri State University.
While attending Southeast Missouri State University, I hope to prepare myself as best as I can for my future career. I intend to major in organismal, ecological, and evolutionary biology with an emphasis on the zoology aspect of that degree path. Louis Zoo and the Endangered Wolf Center in Eureka, Missouri. In order to boost my career opportunities, I plan to use my experience as an intern during my college years to speak for my abilities. I have also already lined up a good reference in the zoology field to assist me with my applications. After starting my career in zoology, I hope to earn promotions and advancements in my career, eventually working my way up to head zookeeper or of my own research team. During this time, I hope to do some traveling and extend the scope of my career experience. I would love to do some field work with endangered species and participate in desert and rainforest conservation efforts. My hope is that my career will take me places and allow me to make a difference in the lives of animals around the world and expand my knowledge of culture and nature. Once I have built up a solid career foundation, I plan to return to school and pursue my pre-vet degree.
