A career that interests me is zoology. Zoologists study animals and other wildlife, and how they interact with their ecosystems. They study the physical characteristics of animals, animal behaviors, and the impacts humans have on wildlife and natural habitats. Zoologists conduct experimental studies with animals then analyze the data they collected. They also study the characteristics of animals by observing their interactions with other species, reproduction, diseases, and movement patterns.
The education needed to perform this occupation is at least a bachelors degree. As like many jobs, once you get your bachelors degree, many zoologist further their education to earn a masters degree. Just recently I have been accepted to Texas A&M University I have also decided my degree choice will be biomedical science. With a biomedical science degree I have over fifty career choices I can go into. Also, this is my backup plan if I am not accepted into vet. School right away. The choices of careers range form agricultural economist, animal breeder, dentist, game manager, veterinarian assistant, and even zoologist. I have decided that what ever my career will be, it will be in agriculture and will deal with animals. Animals are so interesting and tricky they can’t tell you what is wrong with them like people can. With animals you have to find out for yourself.
Being a veterinary technician requires a bachelor’s in animal science or related major. Needs a focus on science (animal science) and also mathematics (“summery”). Marine Biology is what I would like to study. I want to become a marine biologist because I want to discover new species. I want to go to the 70% of the ocean that has not been discovered. Marine biologists also get to go travel to different places. They not only get to seethings underwater which not many people get to see, but they also get to see places on land which not many people get to see. Marine biologists are also interesting to me because they get to swim for most of their work day. I love the water and swimming. Marine biology is a very interesting and intriguing career to me.
