Arriving at this event, I did not know what to expect. The title of the event was “Monthly Real Estate Investor Networking Event-Free Class-Zombies vs Real.” The purpose of the event was expressed in the title, I later would experience this through the speaker. The speaker was a well-dressed man whose name was Adam. He was there to give information regarding real estate, and offer advice to anyone who was in a position to receive it. The position that he took, while giving the presentation was in front of the audience, which was the size of an average conference room.
My strategy for listening to Adam was to be critical, and to analyze his speech. The presentation was delivered through power point, and this was operated through a laptop which

In the beginning of the speech, he gave examples on what a bad deal looks like. The examples were given, based on a t.v. show called Zombie House Flipping. This is how the title of the event was created. Next, he expressed if education and experienced were to be applied, this is how you can avoid bad deals. I thought the speaker was very genuine and credible. His deals are approached from a team concept. This shows me that he likes working with people, and he understands, that everyone can benefit from a deal. His son is his business partner, so this shows that he has family values. That is a great quality to have as a business …show more content…
the cause and effect and the problem and solution. The unexperienced client would make a deal, because they seen a big profit made based on someone else’s deal. The cause would be addressed in their lack of experience which is what the event offered. The effect would be a bad deal, and this is what, he was teaching the audience to avoid. Problem and solution was covered through many examples. The average person is not aware of the real estate market, title companies or what job to choose with in the field. The majority of his purpose, was to get the listeners, to become members for his class. This would in return give that person more education and experience. The presentation was structured into a format, that introduced a problem. The body of his work gave many solutions, on how he handles his business deals. The conclusion was for the listeners who had similar thoughts as he did, and they would in return become a member.
Adam used real life experiences to help relate to the audience in his presentation. He has been in the real estate field for over thirty years. His experienced gives him enough knowledge on the subject, so he doesn’t have to memorize his speech. The speech that was given was extemporous. I think that his strategy was to give a presentation, that would have a duration of one hour. He knew the main topics because, he has lived them. While giving his speech his tone would go lower, when addressing real life situations.
Through all the different appeals he makes a successful argument for declaring was. He makes many statements that could have only been made by someone who really knew what was going on. With all the facts, he proves that he does know what he is talking about and that everyone should believe him. This speech gave just the right amount of information to be able to let people know what was going on without too much detail that may confuse them.
speech because it was his book and he knew all the facts. My initial impression of the speaker was
Buying or selling a house or an apartment is one of the biggest decisions of a person’s life. And when selling or establishing a price for real estate, people seek out real estate agents to do the dirty work. A real estate agent has to convince a prospective homeowner that he or she is trustworthy and knowledgeable. In many ways, the agent acts as a counselor to individuals and families about to embark on a huge commitment. Real estate agents have a thorough knowledge or real estate market in their community. They
It is highly evident in his address that kept audience, setting, and purpose in mind. He comforts a worried public using calm tone and simple yet effective
Did the speaker use clear, interesting, and accurate language? Ronald Reagan also used clear and concise language, if anything he appealed to his audience from pathos and ethos langauge. He controlled his speech to suit his appropiate audience. Although, he is a man of many words, he did in fact came across as
Roosevelt wanted this speech to sound serious and unforgettable. He used several techniques to conquer his task. When Roosevelt expressed his speech he promised fast action and he portrayed own unshakable self-confidence Americans listening on various radios everywhere(Franklin).
The language used in the speech mostly was flawless and applicable to the audience, who was the public, since he was using every day vocabulary. Therefore, the speech has had strong structure that can be easily understood by the majority of people. The audience typic...
... He showed his people in his speech that he was a strong leader and had the mindset to overcome a war. Not only did he appeal to ethos, but also he connected to his people emotionally through pathos. The King asked them to stand firm and unite in this time of trial. The King did not demand them to do this, rather asked this of them. By using this formal approach to reach out to the nation, he showed that he cared about them on a respective level. The King did not talk down to the nation when giving this speech. He made this speech as formal as possible because this speech was given one day before the outbreak of World War II and he wanted to show the nation he cared and they could overcome this time of terror. Through using these rhetorical devices, The King empowered the nation and reminded his citizens of their strength and abilities to overcome adversity in life.
We then get to the area the speech was being held and we see a statue of Abraham Lincoln sitting in a chair with Martin Luther King Jr. standing in front of it. When he began his speech King was monotone in voice and stature. There was no emotion showing through the beginning stages of his speech. He made little to no eye contact with people during the beginning parts of the speech, and he seemed tired, dim but not defeated. The more in depth he got into it the more emotions he started getting out, he spoke with passion when it came to certain parts. This happened mainly on the section s of how slavery was affecting their lives. He could not get out certain words, choking on raw emotion that would come upon him emotionally or when he saw the looks on people’s faces. He almost could not believe, looking out over the vast crowds that the movement was even going to be a thing at all. That his words were meaning
...t orator and rhetor, his ability to integrate emotion into fact and still have facts exist as true and unbiased. As a result of the heavy factual details, his logos in this speech was excellent.
The speaker organized the presentation very well and made it easy to follow for the audience. She chose words that got the message across clearly and were not difficult to understand. Since this was targeted at a younger audience, she simplified the concepts and was very specific. The sentences of the speech were structured appropriately, and had no grammatical errors. She also included some transitions in between, especially when moving from one idea to the next which made the flow
To take something away from this speech would be to have a dream and present it to people in the same way you believe in it, this worked a lot better rather than speaking about a plan and presenting it to people. For if you tell people a plan they are not invested in you, they would possibly be more invested if you told them your dream and knowledge as you develop your credibility with them.
Without the use of schemes and tropes his speech would have lacked the power it
As it is written in the text he is also a good leader and he knows what he wants for his business, how to keep his employees and how to run his business for high profit.
Gathering information about what it takes to become a real estate and just what it is that a real estate agent actually does required me to do a significant amount of research. The first action that I took was to sit down with my grandfather, who happens to be a real estate agent. I asked him what I should look in to in order to gain a better understanding of his profession. After interviewing him, we went to the offices of Atova Real Estate where I observed the daily activities of the real estate agents who work in the office. Later, we went to the offices of Pioneer Title, Guild Mortgage, and the Idaho Intermountain Multiple Listing Services. We di...
