“ They tell me that all men are created equal in the eyes of god but this man seriously makes you think about those words,” is how an entertaining soccer commentator, Ray Hudson described Lionel Messi’s outstanding performance on the pitch. In the book Outliers, by Malcolm Gladwell, Gladwell demonstrates that there are extraordinary circumstances and external factors that allows a person to become successful in life as an outlier. Despite Messi’s contradicting physical appearance, standing 5 foot and 7 inches tall as a record breaking soccer phenomenal, he is most definitely an outlier who shook the history of soccer. Many Believe that Lionel Messi was not a natural born talented player but external factors and the opportunities he was given allowed him to become a player who is arguably the best player to every play in history of soccer.
While I have developed my soccer skills over the years, the relationships I have built with people are treasured more than my ability to play the game. Playing soccer has granted me the opportunity to be surrounded by an extensive family of people who truly love me. I am forever indebted to the sport for bringing me into love-filled relationships with players and coaches alike.
Soccer fans all over the world have participated in the debate of who is the best soccer player today. The debate has been narrowed down to two candidate: Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Both Ronaldo and Messi have many fans around the world. Many say Messi is the best soccer player on the planet, and many say Ronaldo is. Now, they both are really great players, but in my opinion Ronaldo has the slight edge over Messi. Cristiano Ronaldo is better because of his athleticism, his playing in two leagues, his worth, and his success with his country.

Time magazine of London stated early in his career, “How do you spell Pelé? G-O-D” (3). The greatest soccer player in the history of the sport is unquestionably Pelé. His statistic résumé is unmatched by anyone who has ever played this great sport. He began his career on a high note, and never let off until his retirement. Even after his career ended he helped to work for a world for children. Pele’s life did not begin idealistically, only by chance was he discovered, but he grew to be the greatest soccer player ever and he used that fame and fortune to do even greater deeds for the less fortunate.

David Beckham is the one sports star, who not only is a phenominal player, but is probably the most famous sports icon outside just soccer. It is definetely harder to find someone that has not heard of David Beckham, than someone who has. People occasionaly wonder, however; "Why Beckham? Why is he so famous?" The answer might not be very simple, but maybe it is the combination of a great shot, a fantastic cross, his own Adidas shoe, his changing hair-style, his modeling career, his marriage to the Spice Girl Victoria Beckham (formerly Adams), his big mistake against Argentina in the 1998 World Cup, his England capitancy and him having belonged to the two largest teams in history that make him so popular among the crowd. When one reads David Beckham's autobiography, David Beckham My Side, something that is surely visible and clear, is his igoistic thoughts and life-style.

When Ronaldo was a young boy his mom wanted to abort him. Luckily this didn’t happen because he's the greatest soccer player of all time. He was not rich he was poor. He fought his way through all the way to the top. He had a heart disease that made his heart race which could have ended his soccer career. Ronaldo is a big inspiration to me and a lot of other people. He makes me try harder when i see him. He took his team to the world cup in 2014 he scored a hat trick and this is a big deal because the world cup happens every four years and only a handful of countries make it. When i watch Ronaldo play i feel like nothing else matters because it doesn’t. Ronaldo went through a bad knee injury in 2014 before the world cup started and you could tell it had an effect on him. His team was not going so hot they got kicked out of the world cups first knockout stage. In 2015 he overcame his injury and had a good year but the best was yet to come in 2016 and 2017 they won the
In conclusion, we can see that Messi’s career have been successful in over a short period of time. But, has also had some upsets that were overcome by the young superstar and also overcame his disorder to reach his goal of being a professional soccer player. In addition, all his hard work have paid off because he won some of the most prestigious award that a soccer player can get at this level, like the Golden Ball. And that can say that he is the “FIFA World Player”, of the seasons 2008 and 2009, because all the people decided that he decided, such as thing like that.
I remember one time when I was watching him play. He had just scored one of the coolest goals of his career. He spun the ball just out of reach of the goalkeeper's hands. With a smooth and controlled kick, the ball trickled into the net with a serene kind of spin. It seemed as if the whole thing had been in slow motion. As soon a the ball smacked up against the net, the entire net jolted back. The goalkeeper dove and grunted as he tried to reach the ball, but he just couldn’t. Lionel Messi’s shot was just too good. The whole crowd cheered so much. The best part, to me, is that after Messi scored his amazing goal, he didn't even celebrate. Messi just simply gave the ball to the referee and got prepared for kickoff. This showed me that even though he had scored an amazing goal, Lionel Messi did...
