People today, and in history have not been able to cure all diseases that plague the world ,and harm people in different ways. In 2016, the Zika virus is what plagues different places in the world. While in 1346 The Black Death is what plagued most of the world and caused so much panic along with millions of deaths. The human race can’t get rid of every danger that threatens life but they can control it. The Black Death is a great example on how today people have the mental awareness on how to control a problem such as the Zika virus.
The Zika virus also known as Zika Fever is a disease that is causing hysteria across North America and other places in the world today. This disease is passed on by a female mosquito’s bite or by sexual intercourse. Having Zika can cause many different things for different people such as for pregnant women it could cause birth defects to the unborn child. Not only is the knowledge helpful to contain the Zika virus but it has also helped other viruses contained throughout the centuries without having that many deaths due to it. The knowledge gained has helped for a long time and will continue to help out throughout the more challenging problems that the world will have to face. All of history repeats itself in some type of way and so because of that people learn from history and try to face a new problem head on with a different mental mindset. History informs the present in many ways, and so that is how the Black Plague is informing people today on how to handle the problem of the Zika Virus today.
