In this story, The Most Dangerous Game, you learn about hunting and the human nature.Zaroff has hunted for a long time. Although Zaroff is a murderer, which is crazy, he is a great hunter. He is astute, thrill-seeking, and more accustomed to hunting.

Since Zaroff has hunted his entire life he is more accustomed to hunting. In The Most Dangerous Game Zaroff tells Rainsford a story of his first time hunting stating, “I killed my first bear in the Caucasus when I was ten. My whole life has been one prolonged hunt.” Zaroff has hunted since he was 10, therefore he practically grew up hunting.
