YouTube has become the place where the world goes to see the latest videos online. I want to know more about why YouTube has become the place to see videos online. Was it from the advertisement, no other competition or the idea that no one else thought of? I know a few things about YouTube from browsing the web but I want to know why it has become the center of videos online.
I only know a few things about YouTube from using the web over the years. Knowing the basics is wanting me to answer my question. I want to learn more about YouTube, how it started by three people who turned it into an empire. The first fact that I know is that three men had the idea of a dating site that could send videos to one another. This idea turned into a bust which led them to start a new website called YouTube. Offhand I know that it was bought out by Google making the three men wealthy. It

Not long ago I watch a video from ColdFusion explaining how YouTube started up and some History. He named the video a surprising history of YouTube, not going into much depth only stating the major points of YouTube’s history. His video is one of the most in-depth videos online where I learnt most of my information about YouTube. He did not give the full insight of information that would answer my question. Along the same lines, I watch a video from =3 giving me top ten facts about YouTube that you may not know. This gave me unique facts about YouTube but did not give me the information that I wanted to know. I have also watch how YouTube processes videos that people upload, giving me the glue of how YouTube made videos easy to access. The videos gave me more of a history of YouTube but not answering the big question of mine. Whereas my question is about, why YouTube did became the place to see videos online, the videos that I have seen only have scratch the surface of my

Many believe the internet was an over night sensation, that one day, someone invented the internet and it spread in popularity faster than Tickle Me Elmo or the Macarena. Although the internet did have a surge of commercial popularity, with the invention of Mosaic and later with e-commerce, it was created many years ago with the development of military networking technologies. Also, the internet, unlike many pop culture fads of the nineties, will continue to see a growth in popularity and usefulness as a form of media throughout the information age. Sure, the internet became overambitious to the point where many internet start-up companies lost their businesses in the recession of the past few years. The quality of the internet, however, has increased as companies realize that there exists competition and smarter consumers that demand superiority. The internet has taken the world so far in its short commercial life; the future of the internet provides limitless possibilities of a much different future.
Google was founded by two University of Stanford graduate students Larry Page and Sergey Brin. Their main objective of founding the company was to be able to retrieve specific data from massive amounts of information. The two developed a proprietary technology that would become the ultimate search engine. Initially the pair worked out of their dorm room, then a garage, and once they had quickly outgrown these "facilities" they had moved on to a much larger facility where they reside to this day. It seemed to be a matter of time before they had conquered the continental United States, and had begun to eye the lands across the pond.

...ent times, the television mediums has been slowly transitioning to digital format. Digital television has the advantages of high definition resolution and an electronic television guide. Despite these evolutions of the medium of television I don't consider it new, I see the television mediums as new features a result of inevitable technological advances. The evolution of the internet can similarly observed in this way. Packet-switching technology gave way to the ability to efficiently transfer files over the internet, this ability gave way to the dawn of the world wide web and faster internet transfer speeds lead to bigger and bigger files being transferred over the internet. From this it can be seen that the internet is not a new medium, it contains features which make it seem new. There are certain implications that are observed when the internet is seen as new.
STARTUP.com is the story of two best friends since a very young age coming up with an idea of basically paying traffic tickets and registering vehicles online! Kaleil Isaza Tuzman, a savvy business man who left his job at Goldman Sachs felt this idea would be the one that would fulfill his need of money for the rest of his life, and decided to do whatever he could to try and make this idea into a realization. He would later become in charge of all business aspects of the company and C.E.O. Tom Herman, the other half of this project was just in need of money and fast, for he had a daughter that he was unable to take care of. Tom would later become in charge of the technical aspect of the company and C.E.O. This product idea would soon attract a couple of other people to the point where they would even invest their own money just to see this happen. The product would later be named Govworks.com. ...
The diffusion of innovation theory is a multifaceted tool that can be used for many purposes. It allows for a look at as to why an innovation succeeds or why it fails and it can also tell you how that innovation spread and to who it spread to over a certain period of time. The culmination of a life time of work by Everett M. Rogers who is the leader in the field of innovation diffusion and utilized by many that gathers most of the information needed through surveys. When applied to the field of the spread of media through the internet it can give a picture as to the types of things people find entertaining and it can also map how that media diffuses into society.
Over four billion YouTube videos are viewed each day. They have to pay operating cost pay for employees and pay people to literally take down videos that don’t fit into the YouTube standard. YouTube is free for most videos and all they ask is for the viewer to watch part of an ad in which after around 20 seconds you can skip the commercial which might pay for the free viewing. YouTube should continue the previously decided royalties to keep them financially safe. One has to remember that not all content on YouTube produces any form of money. Since certain videos receives payment artists have begun to become aggravated.
The author Nicholson Baker wrote a passage about how wikipedia has come to what it is today. He starts out, in a very comical manner, about the main thing of wikipedia is to search and find definitions for any word, term, meaning, and so fourth of things that had been defined thus far on the newly developed website. Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia where any and everybody is the author. That was the main attraction at first for the website. If one has a very profound love for, as Baker mentions in his writing, “Diogenes of Sinope, Crazy Eddie, Bagoas, or the quadratic formula” (Baker 915) the joy of sharing your extended knowledge of what you now and love was more than just satisfying.
First of all, where does the word “Google” come from? The name "Google" originated from a misspelling of "googol,” which refers to 10100, the number represented by a 1 followed by one hundred zeros. It found its way to the English language, now the verb "Google", was added to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2006, meaning, "to use the Google search engine to obtain information on the Internet." Their search engine was originally nicknamed "BackRub" because the system checked back links to estimate a site's importance. /// The start of Google was pretty much like the start of every website. It was a research project to these two Ph.D. Students where they hypothesized that a search engine that analyzed the relationships between websites would produce better ranking of results than existing techniques, which ranked results according to the number of times the search term appeared on a page. It was first related to the university’s domain, but then the traffic was so heavy that the university asked them to move their website to a domain outside the university. What made Google this popular was the speed it pulls out information, which is counted in parts of seconds. And also, the size of their data base, according to the instructor of our instructor in MIS class only 60% of data you found on Google are in other web search engines.
Even though many companies usually work hard to implement effective search engine optimization (SEO) strategies, they usually consider video marketing and video SEO as a secondary venture. As a result, most businesses either ignore or give very little marketing resources to the internet’s second biggest search engine, YouTube.
