Yarah Bisharat The Year of Accomplishments The New Year has arrived, 2017. That means it's time for New Year's resolutions. To accomplish goals, earn awards, receive new skill, and having good and bad moment . I wasn’t going to make new year resolutions, because of the commitment you have to put in it, but I feel like with these resolutions that I have made, I will commit to these resolutions. My resolutions are: my education, experiencing different sports, and to heal my bones, muscles, tendons, etc. My first resolution, was the one that popped in my head first. Education was always number one for me, besides my health. This year I would like to do online classes such as; a nursing/doctor class, some core classes, maybe math or geography, so then I may do dual enrollment class my junior and senior year. Then I can finish two years of college in high school. Before that I have to think of right now. This year, all my low grade will be high grades. I'm going to work hard on them and make myself proud. …show more content…
Sports keep me happy, moving, in shape, but I never really went out of my comfort zone, tennis, so this year I want to try something new. I'm going to try different sport to make high school fun and entertaining. The sport I would like to try would be Cross-Country for instincts. Even though running is not my thing, I think it would be fun and keeps me healthy. Plus I'm ready for a challenge. This would be in the fall. Cross-Country would be fun, but I also would like to try volleyball, this game grabbed my attention when I started playing with my friends, so maybe I'll try. My winter sport I would try would be basketball, I tried in middle school to play, but I had some issues, but I always loved watching basketball, but maybe I can play it this year as well as I can watch it. Then spring season would be tennis and that’s my favorite
I just submitted my last set of grades for the semester. This is always a big weight off my shoulders, but since it will be the last set of grades I ever submit at the University, it is an even greater relief. And so I think it's time for me to "give back" as the kids say.
I was so excited to start my new journey in school. I knew that being involved in a sport was going to help me become more confident. Running has taught me how to achieve my goals, be tough; both physically and mentally, and appreciate life. The first week of cross country was difficult.
My short-term goals will be completed throughout High School. I am taking a lot of Mathematical classes in High School, this year I am taking Statistics and Business Math. Next year I will either take Calculus or Precalculus. I like taking math courses because there is a lot of math in anyone's life time. Also my career choices require a lot of math, most classes they like to see I have already taken. I plan to get high grades in all of my classes so Colleges will take me seriously. One of my favorite classes is Statistics and I have a decent grade in it too. My activities at school include being in the Woodshop Club. It is very enjoyable for me and I hope to do more in woodworking as I grow older as a hobby. Activities outside of school include mainly Boy Scouts and work. I plan to get my Eagle Scout rank and I might go on to get Eagle Palms. I work as a Concrete laborer and I also do some finishing, it is a very
As a child I was not in to many sports or involved in school activities. Going through high school I figured out that being involved in a sport or a school club would make my high school experience better. The first and only sport I chose to do was track. Track changed my whole high school experience and life. I learned to never give up, and it kept me out of trouble throughout my four years of high school.
I’ve always been the type of person that truly enjoys athletics and have participated in nearly all sports offered to me. I started playing sports in elementary with club softball and basketball. As I entered my middle and high school years I was able to add the school sanctioned sports to my list of activities. This afforded me the opportunity of competing in volleyball, basketball, golf, track and softball. The camaraderie and life lessons of sports seemed invaluable to me.
Cross country and track to an outsider, they can only be seen as running. Well, to a student of the sport they are both so much more. Runners are gathered to both, but there are plenty of variations between the two. Although I love both of these sports, if I had to side with one, I would choose track. These can commonly be seen in training, races, and people.
I have always been a straight A student, so my number one academic goal is to maintain that streak all though college. Another goal of mine is to finish my core classes early so I can have a bump free senior year. By taking Dual credit and classes throughout the summer I can reduce my workload later on in the future. A third major goal of mine is to be accepted into the Andy Dekaney National Honors Society. As an active member of the NHS I can become more outgoing and have a chance to give back to the
I have a very active lifestyle resulting in a wide variety of interests outside of the classroom. I have always had a deep life-long passion for sports. I represented my high schools varsity volleyball and basketball teams as well as partaking in an adult slow-pitch softball league throughout high school and into college. Other sports and activities I enjoy include Tae-kwon-do, soccer, fast-pitch softball, tennis, callisthenic and weighted workouts, running, hiking and biking.
My sophomore year had begun and I wasn't sure whether or not I was going to do track this year. Last year I played football in the fall and soccer in the spring. Not really enjoying it, the decision was made to play " real futbol" (soccer) in the fall, leaving the spring sports season open. My friend kept telling me how fun track was, so I decided to give it a try.
College is the main goal of my life. It is a life dream to go to college to get a degree and get a successful job. Everything that I have done until this point is to get to college. During my senior year I plan to apply to many colleges and to take the SAT's to get into college. My GPA and SAT scores will be crucial for me to get into college. With college I will further my business career, making more successful in the field I enjoy doing.
I have not had a single accomplishment that is worth writing about but I feel that my college completion will be one accomplishment that I will be most proud. I feel that I am taking one step forward in life that will make me become a more successful person.
The next set of goal setting importance is my personal goals with the first being to over come the obstacles associated with returning to school.
The first thing on my list is to graduate high school. I will accomplish this by working hard in my classes to achieve good grades. Being my senior year, I plan to really concentrate on my school work to help get a better grade point average (G.P.A). By earning a higher G.P.A. it can help lead to scholarships,...
First event that I accomplished was when I got my high school diploma. Even though finishing high school was not an easy task for me, those days were the best moments of my life. I always knew that if I would finish high school and then hold the diploma in my hands I would always make my parents and of course feel very proud. My parents are proud because I am their oldest child and I am the first who graduated high school successfully. This is my first year in college, I am majoring biology, and some day I would have not a high school graduation but I would be a graduate from college. My dream is to be a physician assistant. I hope that some day I will achieve all of my goals. When I would get my degree it would be one of my greatest accomplishments.
