Xenomorph's Exoskeleton

Body looks extremely emaciated. What appears to be bones is actually Xenomorph's exoskeleton, as the bones are actually on the outside of the body, much like an insect.

A thin layer of skin grows over the exoskeleton, it is hairless and feels much like the skin of a dolphin.

Claws grow on either side of each hoof, the tip of the hoof is sharp as well but still curved like a natural horse.

A small single spike grows on each hock and each elbow.

Tail is twice the length of the body and made of many joints, like the vertebra in the spine, and is prehensile. Can be used as a weapon or to grasp things. The tip of the tail is very hard and comes to a point, making it easy to impale prey or enemies, is strong enough to lift an young foal or small

equine with little effort.

Tendrils grow from the base of the tail to about midway, they are not hair but are more like the tentacles on a sea anemone. They have a soft rubber like feel, but they do flow and flutter just like natural hair would.

Male genitals are hidden up inside the body, much like how a whale/dolphin has its genitals inside the body. This is to make the body more streamline and to protect the male genitalia.

Since there are no eyes, sonar is used to see it's surroundings. Much like that of a dolphin. Sound waves, that are unable to be heard by others, flow from the dome and bounce back images of what is around. Looks like this (watch for the green wave like thing that goes along the screen. Its the sonar).

Vocals cords are capable of making various noises, including hissing, screeching, squealing **see examples at bottom of post**.

Has digitigrade hind legs and is able to stand up on them for short periods of time, usually to get a higher vantage point or to intimidate enemies.

Can produce a thick, strong resin that they use to build hives, or in Xenomorph's case, places to hide or rest, much like a den. Or to cocoon victims or trespassers.

Blood is an extremely potent acid, possibly some type of "hydrosulfuric acid" compound, due to its corrosive ability and its effects on living tissue. Can corrode almost any substance. It is dull yellowish-green in color, and appears to be pressurized inside the body so that it spurts out with great force when the creature is wounded. Xenomorph is immune to its own acidic and toxic liquids, similar to how human stomach's are immune to its own digestive fluids. **See information at bottom of post**

Can spit acid some distance, much like a spitting cobra, and uses it to blind and immobilize victims but it is very inaccurate and takes several moments to recharge. However it can spit the normal saliva as any time, and is much more accurate with it. There is no recharge time needed for regular spit. Which is helpful if using it for healing purposes. Almost always salivating a sticky, clear slime that can be used to soothe burns from Xenomorph's body fluids because it is made of a base, which neutralizes

acids.

Lips can come down to cover the teeth, but they are almost always drawn back to keep the teeth visible.

Has an inner jaw located inside the mouth, that consists of a piston-like tongue tipped with a secondary set of jaws. Xenomorph is capable of extending the inner jaw with ferocious speed and force, as a means of attack, and it is the signature method of killing. The inner jaw is capable of extending up to half a meter from the head, but is typically used only at close quarters. The piston-like appendage is incredibly powerful, easily capable of punching a hole through bone. This method of killing is called the "Headbite", whereby the jaw is used to pierce the victim's skull and destroy the brain within. However, the jaw is not only targeted at the victim's head, as it can also be used deliver fatal strikes against other sensitive areas of the body, including the neck and chest. This attack is slow. Xenomorph will have to pause before delivering a blow with the inner jaw; typically Xenomorph will slowly peel back its lips and open its mouth, before the inner jaw suddenly shoots out with incredible speed. This process is often accompanied by a rising hissing sound, indicating it is necessary for Xenomorph to gradually build up the potential energy required to propel the jaw with such devastating force. Or it could be Xenomorph being slightly sadistic, as simply a conscious means of prolonging the prey's suffering, especially since "Headbites" are usually performed on the frontal areas of the brain, making Xenomorph's teeth and jaws plainly visible to the victim. The proboscis upon which the inner jaw is located is prehensile, although for maximum effect it is locked straight and rigid when being used to deliver a blow.
