There are a lot of qualities to writing a good paper. How do you catch the reader's attention, what methods should you apply when you write your paper? What I would like to talk about is a thesis. Every paper has a thesis, or a thesis statement. But what does a thesis mean? A thesis statement is a sentence or two in your essay. The thesis statement states with using detail the main idea of your paper. The statement is very clear for the reader to understand the logic of your paper. So basically it summarizes your essay in a few short sentences. It has a way and a purpose to catch the audience’s attention. This is something good to have in a paper because you don’t want the reader to become bored. “A thesis statement should be easily …show more content…
Knowing the bird’s history, if it is a rescue, or the type of breed that is best for your family is important. All birds are different and require different care. Some live outside in an avian house or most live indoors in a cage. My family owns a Maximillian Pionus Parrot, and his name is Max.
Knowing a Pionus’s temperament will benefit your decision. They are the most common family bird because of their calm and quite temperament. This makes a good pet bird if you are living in an apartment, but still want a larger bird. The Maximilian Pionus is the most common bird to have in a house hold because they are easy to find. They are the best talkers in the Pionus family. Because this type of bird is not bright with a lot of different colors, people tend to overlook adopting them. But the people who do adopt them will be glad they did. They are passionate birds and love as much attention as you will give them. If you are not paying attention to them they will surely let you know. They are great at talking in their cute little raspy voice, and learn to talk fairly quick with some training. They are very gentle birds. They get along well with other birds and do not tend to fight. “Pionus' in general seem to have an easy going out look on things. They don't like it when you talk rough to them just as most animals don't like rough tones in a voice.” (Maximilian pionus, 2013) My Pionus has many

Pionus parrots eat fruits, berries, seeds, nuts and a premixed parrot food you can buy at a pet store. They cannot eat avocado, eggs, chocolate, or any type of fish. The Pionus parrot loves taking warm showers. If you have a perch in your shower like I do, they will spread their wings and play! They love the shower so much they will even turn upside down. You can also buy a spray bottle and mist them. Max loves that! If you fill their water bowl really full, they will stand in it a fluff their feathers. They look so pretty when they do this. Their wings should be clipped if you don’t want them to fly around your house. Max tends to fly into the wall, hurting himself. Also you have to be careful of doors and windows so they do fly
In “A Caged Bird”, it is made clear that this bird has never experienced the freedom of flying with the other species or perching atop the highest building. All it has ever known is the cage in which is has been kept and fed plentifully, yet not punctually, and nurtured with the love of an owner and proper care.
In the short story "The Loons", Margaret Laurence writes the story of Piquette Tonnerre. A half-Indian girl who grows up under harsh circumstances in a society that suppresses half-breeds. The story is told through another girl, Vanessa, who comes in contact with Piquette through her father. As the title suggests the story also includes a special type of birds, the loons, and we can see an obvious comparison between the loons and Piquette. The loons are very special creatures; they are man-shy and can only be heard at night when they start their cry-like calling. It is said that one that has heard the loons cry, will not ever forget it.
Of the birds of Arizona, the cactus wren is likely to be the most well known, as it is the state bird. The cactus wren is a very vocal bird with the white eye stripes behind each of it’s eyes. Its breast is heavily flecked with dark brown and black, whilst its tail feathers alternate between black, brown and white. Its beak also has a faint curve to it. The cactus wren makes its home in a variety of desert environments, most commonly in the foothills with all manner of scrub such as yucca, mesquite, and its namesake, cactus. One of the most numerous birds of the city is quail who tend to live in washes and bushes as they are often too heavily weighted to fly far off the ground or for long distances. The Northern mockingbird also
College has always been a process that introduces students to academic challenges that are not present during high school. So when my professor assigned Gerald Graff's essay, "Hidden Intellectualism", I thought this was his thesis. “Missing the opportunity to tap into such street smarts and channel them into good academic work." (Graff 142) I thought that this was his thesis because it explains the main idea of the essay but I assumed its purpose because of where it’s placed. I am so used to reading an essay in high school where the thesis is located right in the first paragraph. So naturally that is where I look for it. However, with more reading I knew that the following is the thesis, not only because it discusses the main topic, but because it clearly shows what the author was making his argument about. "But [students] would be more prone to take on intellectual identities if we encouraged them to do so at first on subjects that interest them rather than the ones that interest us". (Graff 199) Your thesis is one of the major aspects of a good college paper because it shows exactly what the main claim of the entire paper is going to be about. Three main points to take out of a thesis is, is it your main claim or big idea that directly answers a question about the assignment of the paper. Is it written with the reader in mind with a road map they could follow along easily and lastly when you do go back through revising and reflecting does it makes your thesis clearer.
1. The thesis of the essay is stated at the end of the first paragraph. The author says,
Their feeder preference will be platform, hopper feeder, ground feeder, and cage. Also their seed preference that love to eat will be sunflower seeds, suet, and safflower seeds. Often we hear birds before we see them but with these types of birds you will have the look at the shape and color to let you know the sex and type of bird they are. Tufted Titmouse are bird that sound very different than others birds depending on their region. Mainly they are a different language and accent. Their voice called is a harsh scolding zhee and a loud whistle peto or wheedle that is often repeat.
After these episodes, the images related to birds are absent form the narrative until the chapter 29. Following the summer on Grand Isle, where she had awakening experiences, she starts to express her desire for independence in New Orleans through her move to her own house, the pigeon house "because it's so small and looks like a pigeon house" (pp 84). The nickname of the pigeon house is very significant because a pigeon house is a place where pigeons, birds that have adapted to and benefited from the human society, are kept cooped up.

The size of the bird helps with eating, and courtship displays.
They need that nesting box, so make sure their cage is large enough for it. All wood used in a chinchilla's environment must be non-treated, because your pet chinchilla is, after all, a rodent. They like to chew!
It is crucial to have a strong, opinionated thesis statement with a lot of detail in order to have a good paper. I started my thesis statement by including a general order of what will be discussed in the paper. However, that is the only thing that my thesis statement currently accomplishes. It does not give any opinion or detail. Going back and adding small details such as “a meal plan that includes carb-cycling” instead of “the proper meal plan” will be critical in improving the thesis.
subject) and gradually narrows to a specific thesis. The thesis, or thesis statement, tells the reader what you
Feather plucking is when a bird pulls out its feathers because of stress, boredom or diseases. That's the main reason why it's important to have toys in their cage. If you notice your bird is feather plucking you should go see a vet to make sure it's not a disease. If your bird is feather plucking and it’s not from a disease then you should spend more time with them because that might be the issue. It could be the simplest thing such as getting a new routing or moving to a new house.
Beautiful birds: the birds which are beautiful to look at are called beautiful birds. The kingfisher, the wood pecker, the kakatua, the moyna, the parrot, the chandana- are all fine looking birds. The pink crest of the wood pecker is very nice to look
The parrot has an easy diet of fruits, nuts, seeds, and flowers. For the habitat of a pet parrot you need two cages. On cage for traveling and another where it would spend most of its days. Pet parrots usually sleep at about 8pm and wake, at 6:30; though, you might need to wake up a little earlier to feed the parrot breakfast it is an amazing class pet. Also, parrots need to have a swing, rope, and latter to entertain the bird while the teacher is teaching. Though the parrot is a safe pet, important to realize that the parrot should not have any way to escape from the cage. If the parrot does escape, make sure no other student is afraid of birds. Important to know, that if you have half plain white vinegar with half water in a bottle; it makes the perfect cleaning tool. All in all, parrots have a non-carnivorous diet, with easy to clean
