ASB Essay
I want to be in ASB because I think that this is a great opportunity for me to practice my leadership skills to help all students at Medea Creek. I enjoy helping people and working with others and I know that ASB is a wonderful chance for me to do so. I know that our school should have voices that help others who cannot speak up for themselves and I will help them raise their voices in school. I want to be part of ASB because I think that this can help me mature, and also help achieve my goal for life, which is becoming the president of the U.S. I believe that ASB is a unique opportunity to help me become a game-changer in our school and community. ASB students make changes in their community every day. I think that that is an amazing thing, getting to impact your community every single day.

I believe that I am a good leader to other students and I would be qualified for ASB.
My academic performance excels my grade level. I enjoyed past experiences with speaking in front of others by participating in student council at Brookside Elementary in the 4th and 5th grades. I have had experience updating other students about things that are happening around campus. I will always be on time for our meetings and go to every one. I will always remember to bring my best ideas so that ASB can be a thing others will enjoy. I am a responsible, organized person that likes to contribute my ideas. Some things that I can bring to ASB are a positive outlook on ideas, creative and fun ideas, motivation, quality, leadership and hard work. To be in ASB, I know that you need to respect others and have good communication with my peers. I believe I excel in these two categories, and I will put forth my best effort to make MCMS a better school. I can contribute positive character traits as well as being an example to others. I would be very excited if I could be part of ASB next
year. I know that MCMS has many fun activities for the students. I want to be part of ASB and contribute new and innovative ideas for our school so that MCMS can be a better school. I think that Medea Creek could have a ‘game week’, where everyday of the week at their lunch they could play a game (Battleship, Monopoly, outdoor games, etc.) against friends or even teachers! I have noticed that many students like to play sports. MCMS could have a sports day where students could play their favorite sports (Sports safe for school only!) either against each other or against the teachers who like to play the same sport (I know that some teachers like watching sports or playing sports they used to play when they were younger.) We could also have a ‘School Olympics’ instead of a sports day(Or we could have both!). The school olympics could have people from all grades come and compete in whichever sport they enjoy the most. (Although must be more than 1 person in each category!) The winner of each sport can have a reward like a medal or they can be teacher for the day, etc. We could also hold a trivia in each class. Teachers quiz students on topics they have recently learned in class. (This way the teachers can see who was paying attention or not.) MCMS could show how caring they are to the homeless by donating money, food, supplies, or students could teach the homeless how to read. (Could count as volunteering hours.) MCMS could also raise funds for people who have cancer, kids and adults both. These are just some ideas I can contribute to making MCMS a place that is more fun. Many look up to different people, each person with different qualities. Besides my parents, I look up to my uncle. My uncle is a hard-working, successful person. He is the president of a company. He leads people towards the right direction. He is hard-working because he has worked very hard to get into the position he is in right now. I also think that my uncle is smart. Being hard-working and smart can help you accomplish your goals in life. I think that if you try hard enough, you will be able to do what you want to do in life and I genuinely admire this about him. He has motivation when he does something. My uncle thinks before he choses something he wants, he has reasons, explanations. I really look up to him because he has superb qualities that I admire a lot, and I hope to be like him someday. I believe that I am qualified for ASB. I have great qualities a ASB member should have and I would try my best to make ASB AWESOME!
I want to be a Bank of America Student Leader because I wish to be able to experience new opportunities for volunteering and interact with others who shares the same interests. This opportunity would also allow me to learn more about leadership skills so that I will be a better leader in the future to make improvements for the community. Even though I lack many traits, I am willing to learn from criticisms and I am open minded to others’ opinions. Born talented or not, I believe that the desire to learn is the most important characteristic that a person can possess and I am willing to learn from this opportunity if I am lucky enough to receive it. Being a Vietnamese immigrant who is living in a large Vietnamese community in Garden Grove, I
I believe Clark Atlanta University will prepare me for future leadership by creating and building new traits within me. I want the opportunity to prove that I can become someone significant even with the guidance of my peers. By attending Clark Atlanta University, I will be able to learn the skills that a leader should possess, whether within my classes or within my community. During my junior year of high school I was involved in the “B.E.E. Club” which is a mentorship for young ladies that help support freshman female students to achieve their goals. I was also actively involved in the “Fashion and Design Club” which is to advocate personal development through leadership, social etiquette, and corporate skill to build confidence, and poise.
In my junior year of high school, I joined the leadership program called ASB, also known as associated student body. I had the honor and role of being the school’s unofficial videographer to promote events with videos and short films posted on our social media sites because of my passion for video editing and artistic abilities. I also became responsible as being chairman for one of our committees to organize special recognition events for our senior athletes. ASB made my work stressful and challenging, but it was a good way to connect with others.
Why do you want to go to Asmsa? Why leave home for this school? Is it even the right place for you? All of these questions I have heard be asked before, by my parents, my friends, even I ask myself if this is the right choice, but every time I hear it, I have the answer ready. Of course Asmsa is the right place for me, not only is the school I’ve looked forward to going to since the 7th grade, It is the type of school I’ve always needed to put me in the mindset for learning. The school is a community of learners and full of people who want to achieve, to do more than just graduate, to be more than just valedictorian, and to ask the questions that most wouldn't even care about. The staff at Asmsa is also very educated in the fields they teach, so any and all questions you may have they can answer and don’t teach “for the test,” so to
The career I plan on pursuing in life is becoming a certified medical assistant. Medical assisting is one of the fastest growing careers in healthcare. To become a certified medical assistant you will have to achieve a certification through the certifying board of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA). While you can work as a medical assistant without being certified, employers are often looking for someone skilled and qualified.

Many people rush through their daily life without contemplating their actions, thereby missing vast opportunities for achievement. They waste valuable time engaging in frivolous matters instead of putting their energies towards more productive and meaningful purposes. In the words of the Dalai Lama: “Life is not about acquiring money and other facilities; it is about dedicating your life to helping others as much as you can.” The immeasurable value of helping others has been engrained in me since childhood. As a result of my own difficult family circumstances, I have become more sensitive, kind and mindful towards others and their own situations. I have developed a passion for helping others, which, in combination with a proclivity towards medicine has lead to my descion to become a Physician Assistant. I want to live a life where I can provide healthcare and aid to anyone who needs.
This club is known for recognizing students who demonstrated excellence in all areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Once a member of the club, you continue to expand your excellence by doing countless amounts of volunteering and showing your leadership skills. One volunteer project I enjoyed doing was becoming a peer helper. I hated seeing many of my classmates struggle with math and science. They knew if they didn’t pass the class they couldn’t graduated. So instead of letting them fail I took time out of my day and tutored many students in subjects like algebra, geometry, and chemistry. When I was helping my peers I did my best to find their inner confidence towards wanting to be successful. I believed this is what made me a true leader, because I didn’t allow my peers to become failures.
My initial reason to enter the Air Force was a great way to pay for college which turned into a call of duty and a service commitment which has actively allowed me to contribute to the Air Force mission. Thus far I have led a joint force search and rescue effort and a multinational exercise to preserve freedom. As an F-15E instructor WSO and combat mission ready WSO I actively contribute to ensure our freedoms are preserved and the attacks of September 11, 2001 will never happen again.
I aspired to play a significant leadership role in all of the activities someday, and over the course of my high school career, I thankfully have. This year as a senior, the student body elected me as the president of Student Council; members of National Honor Society (NHS) did the same; future business leaders elected me as the vice president of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA); and I received the votes to secure the office of secretary in the local Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter. Coaches and teammates have named me as an important asset as well. Over the years, these opportunities have presented me with many chances to enjoy extracurricular involvement, meet new people, and mature into a
In conclusion, I believe that I can offer a wealth of expertise and experience in contributing towards the continued development of a cohesive, dynamic and collaborative school that focuses on offering outstanding world class learning opportunities for all. I consider myself to be a good role model to students and staff alike and I am committed to leading by example. This, combined with my drive, infectious optimism and commitment to playing a full role within the school beyond those duties set out, make me a strong candidate for the post.
I would like to be a link crew leader, because I like to get involved and help others. In the summer I have volunteered at a Gurmat Camp where I worked with young children, teaching them how to read and write punjabi. I am a person who is kind, energetic and passionate about learning and experiencing new things. Another reason why I want to become a link crew leader,is because I want to help the new grade 9’s feel comfortable, included and safe in our high school. When I first came into high school I was scared about what was going to happen, but after about a week I meet and made new friends. However, there were some challenges I had to face and learned valuable lessons from them. One lesson that I have learned from high school is that friendships
