Firefighter is considered as one of the most dangerous jobs in America which accounts for 829 fatalities and more than 65880 injuries over the past decade. Every year, fire accidents provoke detrimental cost to all around the world. In some countries such as India and Russia, average number of fire deaths per year is around 10000 – 20000. This high figures demonstrate the urgency of an advancement in fire handling services. With many limitations that humans possess including the breathing issues and low endurance to high temperature, there has been an obstacle in achieving efficient fire extinguishing. Therefore, an innovative Humanoid Firefighting Robot (HFR) was built to substitute the firefighter’s roles, reducing the casualties of both human firefighters and fire deaths. HFR is a newly advanced robot in the shape of average adult human body with 1.8 metres tall and 178 kg in weight. It is mainly made of titanium which has high melting point (1,688°C) and high strength-to-weight ratio. These features comform its function as a strong and light firefighting robot. HFR is equipped with 3 cameras as sensor containers in its head which are normal high resolution camera (RED), night vision camera and infrared thermography camera that forms images using infrared radiation to detect source of fire and gas leak. The fundamental aspect that distinguish it from any other firefighting robots is the way it douses fire by applying low frequency fire suppressing sound wave device. This function enables it to extinguish fire in shorter time and in an environmentally-friendly way.

There are a lot of problems Detroit is facing, one of them is there incidence rate for fires. Detroit is the number one city in America for house fires, not to mention their high rate of fires in the many vacant buildings throughout the city. There are many socioeconomic factors with the city that make the incident rates rise, and response less effective.
Think of the most beautiful city in world. You are walking the streets, taking in the scenery in complete admiration of a city built by men. Then one day you go to sleep, a few hours later you awaken, and that beautiful city is completely destroyed. Incident commander declares the residence unsafe for entrance. This rescue mission has now become a recovery mission.
To some, proper maintenance of a vehicle is mundane, but in the fire service it is the pinnacle of consequence if left abandoned. All tasks are performed to foster confidence that the trucks crew will be able to perform their job with the utmost of safety. A unified effort in the proper inspection and upkeep of all fire apparatus allows for the knowledge that all fire personnel will be safe in the case of an emergency. Prescribed fires are a well debated topic. While many people support them because they "help prevent" more wildfires, and they are "controlled," I see from a different point of view. There's a reason most building don't allow smoking within a certain distance of the building. Many people don't like it and it can damage their health. Same thing with prescribed fires. They add more pollution to the air we breathe. I know a lot of people support these kinds of fires because the help control fuels, but there are other ways.

( Karter & Molis, 2013) These numbers represent incidents that are determined to be in the line of duty but do not take into consideration the long-term health risk issues that may develop. Evidence shows that he hazards associated with Fire and Emergency Services are consistent across the board whether paid or volunteer and jeopardize the lives and health of each individual, placing administrative and physical control measures reduces this risk to firefighter within an organization. While it is impossible to eliminate the hazards firefighters face, it is important to identify these hazards as the first step in reducing the potential for loss of life and wellbeing both physically and mentally.
