I would like to express my gratitude towards my internship supervisor, Dr. Heather B. Edelblute for guiding me throughout this internship process. I am grateful for her patience during my last year of graduate school. I would also like to thank my agency supervisor, Dr. Caroline D. Bergeron, CHES for her brilliance and encouragement throughout this very difficult project. Furthermore, thank you for being a mentor to me and continuing to be a source of encouragement during times when I doubted myself. There are not enough words to describe the wonderful guidance and support these strong, intelligent women have shown me in my long and arduous journey in completing my degree. My success throughout this program would not have been possible without the help of my friends and family for their motivation in finishing my degree. There have been countless times where I was unsure about my academic future and I am eternally appreciative for their encouraging words and actions. Looking back on my time in graduate school, I cannot think of a difficult moment where my support system let me down. …show more content…
I have learned so much about health impact investing, improving community health, and increasing health literacy and could not have been more thankful to be surrounded by a smart group of women. Thank you, Brittany Langevin, for managing the Healthy Me/Healthy We program. I know that there have been times where you were pushed to the end of the rope, but you persevered and continued to run the program with grace and professionalism. Thank you, Ken and Mitchell, for being amazing Zumba trainers – you two made coming to each class the highlight of my day. Finally thank you, Elizabeth Lutz, for running the Health Collaborative and continuing to create programs that improve the health of Bexar
The decision to enroll in graduate school came after considerable time and soul searching. While contemplating the decision to return to school I thought about life, school and work. I realized that my experience in these areas have prepared me for the challenge and I am going to succeed.
Encouragement plays a significant role in my success. Without encouragement, the achievement won't come true. Juliet Ferking, the author of "A Drive to Achieve the Extraordinary" from This I Believe: Life Lessons, tells her story about how she succeeds at things that normal people don't. No matter what people say, she achieved big things in her life. Her only encouragement are those who actually supported her (Ferking). My connection to Ferking's essay is that without the encouragement that my family and friends are giving me, I wouldn't have the motivation to pursue my degree to have a good career. Even if other people ridicule my choice of degree, I won't succumb to their words.
I want to thank you for all your had work and motivation you have brought to our team. Thanks for helping our membership during the military affairs events. You are wonderful addition to the Addison MD&P team. I appreciate all your assistance and help transitioning into my new role.
Thanks Miss Smith for making Science, History, Art, Drama, and Tech amazing classes. You are a wonderful teacher who makes learning fun, and I appreciate that. Furthermore, thank you Mr. Rague. Without your help, this speech would not have been written. You push every single one of your students to do their best since you know what all of us are capable of. Also, thank you Mr. Hall. I look forward to gym every Wednesday and Monday since you make it extremely amusing. Thank you to Mr. Block as well for helping me understand math better and for leading the 7/8th grade girls to winning the championship. Lastly, thank you Mrs. Rague. Before health class started, I did not know much about the heart, the food groups, the lungs, etc., but with your help I am basically a pro on all of the subjects. Thank
The community participation that has changed my life for the better is being apart of The Accelerated College Education (ACE) program at American River College. Being apart of this program has given me a push and motivation to finish and succeed in school. Before I started in the American River College ACE program, college success was not always a part of my college career. I have been and will always consider myself a part of the ACE program community in which I have participated in for the past two years. Unfortunately, I am no longer among the rest of my cohort classmates that have been a part of this amazing community. Looking back I now see that the time was well spent in the ACE program. The experiences were life changing in this program
I cannot express in mere words how grateful I am for your donation through the Brian E. Gombar Memorial Scholarship towards my education, more importantly my hopes and dreams regarding my future. As I enter my sophomore year of college at Pace, I realize that I have even more responsibilities to fulfill as a committed student and member of the Pace community. It is because of your tremendous kindness in offering me the Brian E. Gombar Memorial Scholarship that I am getting this opportunity and so much more. So I sincerely thank you.
My internship ended the week before the fall semester began. Three month was really not a long time, but it meant a lot to me. It was not only a great experience for clinical practice, meanwhile, I knew more about the meaning of life and the responsibilities I had. I was a new person since then with a new attitude. I was so lucky that I had a chance to change myself. Thanks to the old man. I hadn’t heard anything from him after he left the hospital, but I really wish that he is still alive. Ever since he talked to me, I didn’t feel proud when someone called me doctor anymore. I know that is who I will be, and there is nothing to be proud of.
Today, as we graduate, with degree nearly in hand, I challenge each of you to make a difference in whatever you do. Remember that life didn't end when we re-entered school. Life continued throughout our program. Even when stretched to the limit, life only got more challenging. And now, graduating, life only changes pace. Our degree completion is not really an ending as much as a new beginning as we re-enter our lives of work and home. We thank all of our family, friends, instructors and co-workers who helped see us through this process. Thank you for this opportunity and good luck to you all.
My intense passion for learning has shifted my life in a new and positive direction. I feel that my personal experiences and challenges have served as a basis for growth and preparation for a life of helping others. This is why I have worked so hard to complete my undergraduate education despite my many responsibilities. I believe that this makes me a great candidate for this program. I am a diligent and attentive person who deeply cares for others in need. I feel that everything that has brought me to where I am today has shaped my life and will make me a great social worker. I want to thank you very much for considering my application for the master of social work program.
When I first enrolled here at State University, I never thought I would ever be in the position to graduate. Finishing college was a huge goal growing up but it was also my biggest fear. But after three and a half years of dedication I plan to get my degree in the fall. Getting this far in college was not easy, it took encouragement from family, dedication, and assistance from others to reach this position.
And now you being in College is actually kind of hard, secondly I’d like to thank my Mom not that I love her more than my Dad I’m just more like her and seem too relate with her more. Her constant encouragement keeps me going knowing that
I first would like to thank you for finding the time to read my letter, thank you for allowing me to still communicate with you though we are miles apart. I am writing you today in regards to a court case which took place about six years ago when i was a minor, i recently was alerted to the presence of an active warrant in my name and although i am not physically present i had been hoping that you would allow me to make matters right. The case number is as followed: 11-1335CT OM, during sentencing i was ordered to pay a hefty fine as well as attend a retail fraud class. At that time i not only made a promise to my father but also to myself that i would never again find myself standing before a judge, that i would work hard until i have raised
Morrow also states that the more perceived peer support a student (freshman) reported, the more likely they were to have returned in the fall for their sophomore year (par 9). This indicates that a sense of belonging, or lack thereof for an individual student is a major influencer of his/her decision to remain at an institution. The higher the level of academic and social integration achieved, the less likely the student is to voluntarily leave the institution. (Whittington, 22.) Therefore, if a student has a healthy ecosystem of social connections, positive influences and academic achievement he or she is much more likely to run the full course of the college/university program.
Family and community have both been instrumental in my drive to pursue more out of
Valedictorian Speech Good evening fellow graduates, teachers, family members, friends, and distinguished guests. It is a tremendous honor to be the valedictorian of our graduating class. My job is to somehow be the voice of the entire graduating class, and take five minutes to say a few words on behalf of all 539 of us. Like most valedictorians, writing this speech was not an easy task for me. Not because I did not have anything to say, but because I was overwhelmed by how much I wanted to share with you all on this day. Tonight, we have one common purpose, to celebrate. We are here to congratulate, to look towards what the future holds for us, to wish each other well, and to, most importantly look back on our time spent here. So, I would like to start by saying 'well done' to my fellow graduates, who have all worked hard during the past several years to reach this milestone. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the graduating class for selecting me to speak here tonight. Ever since the news broke, many people, some who've I've never really met before, have come up to me and have wished me well. Perhaps this speech would be incomplete if I don’t say something to the teachers. On the behalf of my entire class, I would like to thank all my teachers: thank you. Thank you for teaching us, for leading us, for building us up as adults. I know that we have not given back to you the respect you deserve. I know that we have not told you how much we appreciate you taking time out of your schedules to help us. And I know that we have not said thank you for giving us a wonderful education. So, I hope that as I say thanks, you can forget our shortcomings and remember us for who we are and not from the mistakes we have made. ...
