Worship Is not What You Do, It Is a Lifestyle

What is worship? What does the word worship mean? Why do we worship? All of these questions are what help define the significance of worship in my life and how I live it out every day. I think of the bible verse, John 4:23 “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.” To me, worshiping in truth is nearly exact to what the verse says, it’s living with honest worship in your spirit “in spirit and truth.”
Worship is not just something you do. For me, it’s a lifestyle, it’s how you act everyday, your thought pattern, your actions, and your very way of life. Not just something you do on Sunday mornings when there’s music. However, there are many ways to worship our Lord, including sunday mornings with music. People live out worship in their own special, unique ways. Back in the day, a simple bowing down was good enough for some folk.
