My worldview I will be discussing is Islam. Islam is a group of people called Muslims who have submitted themselves to a “ god “ named Allah. Islam was started by a man named named Muhammad which gave Islam its name. Islam was created on September 24 in the year AD 622 when 70 muhajirun people , who were the first people to start Islam, pledge their loyalty. People who are Muslims believe in the book the Quran. They believe that it is God’s final revelation. Islam is a religion where if you want to be apart of it you have to pray the special pray 5 times in a day, they have to fast during a special time called Ramadan.they should make a trip to Mecca, and they have to give some of their income to the needy. Muslims believe that their religion …show more content…
Muslims believe that God used people to communicate who were prophets. The prophets who God communicated to where in the Quran. They believe some of the stuff God communicated was lost. The think there has been some type of corruption of the scriptures over a period of time. According to them the Quran is the only uncorrupted version of scripture that has no error in it.
(4) Muslim also believe in a different god. Muslims believe in their god “ Allah “ which is not even the name of God. They do not believe in have a relationship with God. Muslims also believe that people are not made in God’s image. They believe he does not share anything with us and he keeps everything to himself. They also do not believe in the Trinity. They think believing in the Trinity is the same thing as worshiping many gods.
Christians can combat Muslims not believing In Jesus’ resurrection by using the verse “6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6. Christians could ask why would Jesus be the way to the Father if he did not sacrifice himself for everyone. Jesus has to be someone very important if the only way we can get to God is through
Islam also differ in their definition of what it means to be Muslim. The belief in Islam is
common. However, by exploring into the fundamental areas such as, beliefs, rituals, founders, ethics, and sacred objects, the two show strong differences. The literal word Islam means,"submission." This submission is to the one god, Allah. In this instance, Muslims are those who have submitted themselves. Both Muslims and Christians are monotheists, believing
Both Christians and Islam believe in one Supreme Being but according to Christian they call Him God while Muslims call him Allah. The two religions conceptualize God in different ways. Muslims view Allah as one God, this is emphasized through the word ‘tawhid’ which in Islam means “absolute unity”. Christians on the other hand view God as three holy beings, God the father, God the son, and God the Holy Spirit. According to theology this is known as the holy trinity. Early Christians did not understand the meaning of the word trinity which led to the thought that they worship three gods. However, through Christian teachings the meaning of trinity is brought out through the concept of love. Love cannot exist in seclusion ’God is Love’; hence God cannot exist in one form. This is considered blas...
298). Although divided into denominations, such as Roman Catholicism and Protestantism, common practices under Christianity include prayer, studying and reading scriptures, such as the Bible, and Sunday worship. Similar to both Islam and Judaism, Christianity promotes a single God, according to Mary Fisher (Fisher, 2008 p. 295). Similar to the structure of Judaism, holidays and celebrations play a large role in the structure of Christianity. Where followers of Judaism believe in the Messiah as a heroic, saving figure, most Christians believe in the second coming of Christ as a concept of heroism, peace, and saving, according to Mary Fisher (Fisher, 2008 p. 313). Unlike Judaism, many followers of Christianity view their religion as a true faith, where followers of Judaism do not adhere to a strict creed (Fisher, 2008 p. 347). Also, Islam and Judaism deny the resurrection of Jesus Christ, a focal aspect of the structure of Christianity. Nevertheless, the ultimate goal of Christianity is centered around love and obedience to God, in preparation for judgment following
Islam is a religion that is based on the submission oneself to the will of God, who is called Allah. Muslims are the people believe in that, regardless of their culture, background or ethnicity. It is believed that God’s prophets brought a message for the people to worship one God without intermediaries and that prophet Muhammad was the end of G...
Muslims believe that the absolute deity is Allah. However, they also believe that there was a string of prophets sent by God to teach his word. The last of these prophets was Muhammad. His life is used as a foundation for Muslims to see how they are supposed to live and to help explain the teachings of the holy book of Islam, which is called Holy Qur’an. These teachings are said to have been revelations that Muhammad received that confirmed the God’s unity and the direct life in the world.
The basic beliefs of both Christians and Muslims are practically the related. Both the Christian and Islamic religion believes that a God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit, and Mary exist ("Basic Beliefs"). In addition, both religions believe and agree on the life of Abraham and the stories of Jesus, David, and Moses.
Muslims follow in accounts of Prophet Muhammad's teachings following his death by following the faith from the words of Allah found in the Qur’an. “There are three matters in
Although we may not all see eye to eye, we all still have our own worldview. The central idea of a worldview is to be the different beliefs that is an understanding of how we see the world around us. It will be understood by how a person feels about different emotions and ideas that are encountered on a daily basis. A worldview is a response of our heart or inner being: our intellect, emotion and will. (Weider, Gutierrez,59) We create our own personal worldview based on things we believe are true and norms to society. A worldview perspective shapes, influences, and generally directs a person's entire life. (Samples 2007)
Islam and Christianity seem to have very little in common; however, the two actually show strong likeness, principally in the central areas. Both Muslims and Christians are monotheists, believing in one God. While both believe in the same God, He is called by two completely different names. He is referred to as "Allah" by Muslims and "God" by Christians. Although Islam and Christianity are two different religions, their similarities in beliefs and prayers make them comparable in many aspects.
Although Islam and Christianity differ in major ways, they also share some similarities in their belief in God. First of all, Christianity and Islam are both monotheistic religions; worshipping only one God. While both believe in the same God, he is called by two completely different names. He is referred to as "Allah" by Muslims and "God" by Christians. The basic creed of Islam is brief: “There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah”.
A major concept that separates both of the religions is the fact that the God of each faith has different qualities. This means Islam and Christianity don’t worship the same God. Islam and Christianity are two separate belief systems in which two separate Gods exist. The commonalities of Christianity and Islam center around the idea of believing in one God. The God of Christianity and Islam is separate from the world and creation.
Second, the God of the Bible is Trinity which makes up for the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit as one. Christians believe that Jesus is God's son who came to earth to die on the cross and save us from our sin. Christians also believe in the resurrection of Jesus. In Islam, their God Allah is one, this means he can not have a son or relatives. Muslim denied everything about Trinity, the crucifixion, and the resurrection of Jesus.
Islam is often viewed as a religious tradition which originates from the seventh century. An important part of Islam is based on the prophet Muhammad, and the great revelations in which he received from God, according to the Quran. However, it is most important to realize that Muslims do not view Islam as a new religion. Muslims believe that Allah is the same God who revealed himself to Abraham, Moses, and Jesus. Therefore, Jews, Christians, and Muslims are all followers of the same living God. Muslims believe that the Quran is the final and complete revelation of God to all people. It is not easy for some people to accept the fact that God exists when there have been so many throughout history. You cannot also say if someone’s religion is right or wrong or the God they believe in is a “Supreme” god. Why Islam and not Christianity? Why Hinduism and not Judaism? Every one of them different and they vary from one another; they have different rules and are all passionate about their belief. But the fact still remains that there is one who is above all and he is God. God is Omnipresent, omnipotent, and Benevolent.
Islam is the religion of peace. It is not a new religion revealed by the creator Allah Subhana Wa Tala through all His Prophet in every era and to every people Islam is not only a religion it is also a manual of life. Followers of Islam have to submit their wills to God and have to admit that God is one and He is Allah who runs the entire universe. The key of Islam is
