There is a place back in Germany, hidden for good reasons, the secret annex. Two families hid here in World War II.The secret annex that the Franks, the Van Dans, and Mr Dussel all hid out in was about 500 square feet. The Van Dans were actually the Van Pels. Mr. Dussel is really Fritz Pfeffer. Turns out they changed the names in the book to make it more “interesting”. They even moved around the rooms they all slept in in the diary. The three Franks, Margot, Mr. and Mrs. Frank, all slept in the attic upstairs. The Van Pels slept in the entrance or main room with their son in the closet. The annex will be standing for years to come. If it wasn’t for the people this building wouldn’t be standing. Hitler saw them as a threat and saw that he had to lock them away. Lucky Anne got the chance to write about the annex before going to the execution
