For my movie review I chose the movie “Simon Birch”. The main stars of this movie are: Ian Michael Smith who played the role of Simon Birch, Joseph Mazello who played the role of Joseph Wenteworth, Ashley Judd who played the role of Rebecca Wenteworth, Jim Carrey who played the role of Joseph Wenteworth in his older years, Oliver Platt who played the role of Ben Goodrich, and David Strathairn who played Rev. Russell. This movie is a coming of age/Comedy-drama.
Moreover, she managed to get a lot of fame in the same movies in which she started off small. Another thing that we can draw on from her incredible career is the fact that she was able to diversify so much that her career span over a range of different genres including theater, film, music and others.
These attributes gave her the key to working with the most notable producers, script writers and musical producers in the history of Broadway. Her many shows gave her the opportunity to understand herself as a Broadway actress and her voice stands alone to all of the people who followed. Her voice will live on in theaters and she will continue to remain a pinnacle of Broadway history.
Throughout life, individuals are faced with decisions and obstacles that must be overcome. These decisions and actions are easily influenced by outside forces and motivations and the outcomes of our actions can have a drastic effect on one's destiny. The act of deciding a course of action is not always simple, but it is made even more difficult when we are faced with a time period and a negative outcome if we chose not to continue on our journey. In the short story “Winter’s Bone,” written by Daniel Woodrell, we are taught that throughout life people make choices between what they want to do and what they need to do. Sometimes those choices lead to unfavourable outcomes,
Silver Linings Playbooks tells the story of Pat Solitano Jr. (played by Bradley Cooper), a high school teacher diagnosed with bipolar disorder who is trying to get his life back together. The movie opens as Pat is released from a psychiatric hospital after eight months of treatment and moves back in with his parents. He is determined to get back together with his wife, Nikki, despite all the signs that say she does not want to be with him - such as the restraining order she filed against him. Pat meets recently widowed Tiffany Maxwell (played by Jennifer Lawrence), who is suffering from depression and overcoming a sex addiction that ensued from the death of her husband. Tiffany offers to help deliver Pat’s letters to Nikki if he enters a dance competition with her. As the movie goes on, Pat and Tiffany’s relationship progresses and they learn to cope with their issues.
Her lasting career was not given to her easily, therefore, creating an inspiring story full of hardships and success. Ever since she was a little girl, her dream was to become a successful and famous dancer. In New York City, when she was trying to fulfill her dream, she was unable to find a job in the theatre department. Instead of being discouraged, she decided to make something good come from it. She choreographed her own routines, created her own costumes, and organized solo recitals for audiences to enjoy. This event led her to the biggest adventure in her life that would later impact the world. She was invited to return back to London to pursue her education in the performing arts, so that she could further improve her talents that would make up her entire career.
Lawrence is not part of the movie as much as one would like, but once she is in the scene, she is convincing and perfect for the part she is playing.
I decided to review “Silver Linings Playbook”, which is based on a romantic-comedy novel written by Matthew Quick. It was produced in 2012 by The Weinstein, starring Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence and Robert De Niro.

Therefore, Suzanne Collins's dystopian novel, The Hunger Games, portrays the qualities of bravery, courage, and love for family through the protagonist, Katniss Everdeen. These traits are evident throughout the novel, as Katniss selflessly helps her family and others without seeking fame. Her heroic, strong, and brave qualities make her a valuable, determined, and admirable hero.
The Hunger Games, directed by Gary Ross, was released in 2012. The film is about a young girl who lives in one of the twelve districts of the Capitol of Panem. To keep these districts from resorting to war like past times, the capitol now forces one girl and one boy to fight to the death until only one remains. Jennifer Lawrence, staring as Katniss Everdeen, has been chosen to represent district 12. The film uses many different elements to display all the emotional and physical struggles Katniss must endure while participating in the games.
She got the role in the movie Gentlemen Prefer Blondes which was a very successful play on Broadway. She took the role very seriously and worked to her full potential. She was often late to set and that didn’t sit well with everyone on set. The reason she was always late was because she was nervous and had to build up the nerve to go to the set. Once she did get on set she was very professional. The film got a lot of buzz and it was a successful film. After the film both Monroe and her co star in the movie Jane Russell got a star on the Hollywood walk of fame. Getting that star on the Hollywood walk of fame really showed her success in the movie industry.
for amazing talents and tasteful acting, she was the first woman to receive an Academy Award, Golden Globe, and BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) for one performance. She was best known for performing during Hollywood's Golden Age. Gregory Peck, playing the handsome reporter, also won awards for his skills in Roman Holiday. He earned the prestigious Academy Award for best actor. Though these old souls came form separate worlds, their legacy lives on in film.
Lea Salonga is a very talented actress and singer who is quite well known in the theatre world. She has done many things and is good example to people all around the world who she shows that no matter where you come from you can always make your dreams come true. I chose her because I really like her story of how she got started out and came from nothing and I love the show Miss Saigon.
