“History will be kind to me for I intend to write it.” For this has been quoted by Winston Churchill. He did happen to change history while he served terms in politics. He encouraged soldiers and when almost no hope was left the nation turned to Churchill. In this essay I will talk about Churchill’s childhood, his rise to power, negative/positive aspects in his leadership and lasting effects he made in the world. As a matter of fact, Winston Churchill made many significant contributions and overcame big obstacles that led him to becoming a hero and receiving multiple honors during his lifetime.
Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill was born on November 30, 1874 in Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire to an aristocratic family. He came from long line of English aristocratic politicians. His father was a British man named Lord Randolph Churchill, the seventh Duke of Marlborough, and his mother Jennie Jerome, an American woman. They gave Winston a heritage in both the U.S. and Britain. Both of Churchill’s parents were very busy people. Therefore, Winston’s mother hired a nanny named Elizabeth Everest in which Winston later considered her a mother figure since she was always taking care of him in his childhood. On the other hand, as a child Churchill was sometimes rebellious and often got in trouble. He also wasn’t that academically great in school. So he probably got a handful of beatings from his teachers. He attended boarding school at the time he was 8 years old. Later he attended Harrow, a private school, in 1888 the age of 14. It took him around 3 tries to pass the entrance exam for the British military academy, but eventually he enrolled in the Royal military academy in Sandhurst in 1893.

...oday. Finally, Churchill did have a huge impact in history he is well known a lot for motivating all. Although, causing problems in politics Churchill’s decisions such as ideas made English government intelligent. One more lasting effect he had on the world was he brought his country to freedom.
To summarize, Winston Churchill’s childhood was not privilege nor happy, his rise to power took long nor did it last long, he had really bad cons and good pros in his leadership for this made him a great leader, and his effects on the world impacted history a lot. Moreover, Winston Churchill eventually died on January 24, 1964 where he had suffered a stroke and then went into a deep sleep, which he never awakened from. To conclude, he made many significant contributions and overcame big obstacles that led to him becoming a hero and receiving multiple honors in his lifetime.
