Do you think college can help you in the future?
Do you think college will help you a lot in the future or in your life? Some people believe that college can not help you or that college is not a right path. In some articles they explain how college can help you and reasons why college is good for you. Also, they explain how you can make or earn a lot of money and how it can make you a successful person. College is right for you because it will help you be a successful person in the future and you can earn more money than the students that don’t attend college. Basically, the U.S. Department of Education believes that it is better to attend college because there’s a better chance you can choose whatever job you want. In the U.S. Department of Education’s view, “A college education helps your child acquire a wide range of knowledge in many subjects, as well as advanced knowledge in the specific subjects they are most interested in.” In other words, the U.S. Department of Education believes that college can help you acquire knowledge in many subjects. In the website “PBS NEWSHOUR'S- Related: Universities and colleges struggle to stem big drops in enrollment” it discusses, “The United States has 30 million jobs that pay an average of $55,000 per year and don’t require a bachelor’s degree.” I can see how some might be swayed by this point of view, but I disagree because there are way more jobs that can pay you more than that and you only need to attend college and earn bachelor’s degrees. In fact, “College grads earn $2.1 million in lifetime income compared with $1.2 million for high school grads.” Basically this is trying to explain that college grads earn more money than just the high school grads. Furthermore, it is also trying to explain that being a college grad is better than being a high school grad because college grads will earn more money in a lifetime. Therefore, while it may be ok to think that college can't really help you earn more money than the student that didn't attend college, it is more wise to attend college so you can earn more money than the students who didn't attend college because going to college can really make you a successful person in life or in the
