Do you think cell phones are a distraction to kids and some adults? Well imagine if kids were allowed to use their cell phones during class. It would affect their education and get them off task with the internet to explore in. Then next thing you know their grades are dropping and then the phone is taking over your life at home and school. Sometimes not all the right answers are on the internet too, like Wikipedia, which people can edit the page and put whatever they would like to say. Plus cheating could be way easier and kids would take advantage of it. They could just text their friend in the same class and ask for what answers they got. The first main reason that cell phones shouldn’t be allowed at school is because of the distraction
that it will cause. But with all the apps and the communication in modern day it will be hard to pay attention to what your teacher is saying and you could miss out on some important information. As the Kaiser Family Foundation report says: “ The transformation of the cell phone into a media content delivery platform has facilitated an explosion in entertainment/media consumption among American youth,” including video games. Some schools that have phones banned, their students’ test scores have been way higher than ones with phones. 1 The right age to get a cellphone is when you get 17 or 18 in high school. Some parents buy their child phones such as iphones, samsung, tracphone, and ipad for to call them when ever needed. There is no real "problem" with cell-phones in themselves. Students just need to learn, and remember, that there is a time and a place for everything. A cell-phone should generally not be used in class, unless perhaps somebody is standing at the front of the room with a gun, or if there was some other calamity, such as: kids making bomb threats and what not - for these reasons I find it completely reasonable for a child to be permitted to be equipped with a powered "ON" cellular device. I don't know about you, but if I have kids one day who are potentially in danger, I would want to be aware of this at once.
The first reason why cell phones should be banned in school is that it can distract students from learning. Apps such as Facebook and Instagram are addicting because they let students interact with their friends and family whenever they want. However, it takes away a student’s focus as well. Every once in a while, students are likely to get a notification from the app they have on their phone. When they see/ hear the notification, they become curious about it

Cell phones are a distraction and and they interfere with education (Lee). Rather than using them only for emergencies, students generally use them for entertainment purposes (Lee). Nowadays, cell phones can be used to email, text, call, and take pictures (Lee). Some students have trained themselves to text without looking at their phone, which makes it harder for teachers to catch them (Lee). Cell phones can also be a safety liability for schools (Lee). In the case of a bomb threat, cell phones can be used to not only call in the threat, but can also be used to detonate a bomb (Lee). In another
One reason that cell phones should be banned from classrooms is because students who use them fall into a daze of distracted learning. Classes are taught by teachers, whose goal is to give the student an educational experience, learning things they will need to apply to their later life. However, students on their cellphones are distracted from their learning and never use the lessons taught. Over 2,000 cellphone disturbances were reported in New York City in the past school year (Backstory). This means that over 2,000 people had issues with cellphones interrupting classroom discussi...
Why should phones be allowed in classroom? Phones should be allowed in classroom because they help in a lot of ways. Also our phones are with us 24/7. Picture this, there has been a school lockdown, the suspect cut the landlines so no one could call the police for a rescue. However, the suspect was captured by the police much faster than he imagined. The last scene wouldn’t have happened if it was one decade ago, because cell phones were not popular in schools then. When it comes to cell phones, some people think they should not be permitted in schools, and other people think they should be permitted in schools. I agree with the latter opinion for the following reasons: Cell phones are an efficient way to communicate when emergencies occur in school; cell phones can be a great tool for learning during school hours; and the current prohibitive rules on cell phones are merely fruitless efforts. Cell phones should be permitted in schools, because they could be very beneficial and practical in schools.

It’s not a reasonable defense for using cell phones. You can spend time for your cell phones at home. I can say that students must always be busy in the classroom, they all have their works to do instead of connecting with peers in other countries. Why don’t they use their own time to do that? That skill doesn’t need teachers to teach you how, but teachers are really necessary for explaining other lessons. As I know, today’s children probably don’t need teachers for their digital devices, most of them learn by themselves.
Students should not be allowed to have phones in school. Phones can be a huge distraction with all the social applications we use today. It can become a cheating device to help a few get a unfair advantage on assignments. Finally, it can have a good use such as being a useful tool in an emergency. Cell phones should not be allowed in school because children focus more on the phone than schoolwork, it creates more drama, and it promotes cheating. Cell phones should not be allowed in schools because kids are always wondering what their friends are doing and what is happening outside of school. If they have access to their phones all day, then they will be glued to them. Phones are more entertaining than a teacher lecturing at the front of the class. Most students will start to zone out, or fall asleep, when a teacher starts a lesson.
Cell phones are small and portable yet provide so much to its user with being able to look up anything to calling your parents in case of an emergency or if you need to give them a heads up on something. With the way things are today people need to focus on incorporating cell phones into daily life and finding ways to make them more suitable in a classroom environment. Teachers are already doing this though with using apps that work with the whole class and can track data and usage of a student. It cannot be debated that cell phones are beneficial in school as before cell phones you would have to go to your local library and hopefully find what you are looking for. Cell phones belong in a school environment as they can be helpful and it 's a parent 's right to be able to get ahold of their

Keeping this in mind the use of cell phones have become an affair when it comes to allowing teens to use them in educational environments, such as schools. One part of society supports the use of cell phones while the other part of society disapproves the use of cell phones. I personally believe that cell phones should not only be allowed in school, but cell phones should be mandatory just like a textbook. Cell phones do not only allow students to stay united with friends and family, but cell phones are also a magnificent learning system, and they boost the liable use of technology.
