Recommended: Sports in high school students'lives

Soccer is an integral part of my life. Every Monday and Wednesday, my friends and I play after school. Besides learning footwork from our coach, we also inculcate the importance of good ‘work ethic’, in every game we play, from him.

Today, we are a team to reckon with because we put in game-time intensity in every match. Weekends are ‘Soccer Days’; time to watch my favorite team, Manchester United, play in the Barclays Premier League. On Sunday evenings from 5pm to 7pm, my friends and I organize soccer matches in a small rented pitch; play the game we love. (100 words)

Furthermore, on the Carnifest day, I ensured that all activity stalls were in place; the Football ground was ready for the tournament. Besides summer undergraduate research programs, I will have access to countless cutting-edge research facilities; immerse in hours of riveting inquiry. Of the former, RISE especially appeals to me for it holds the promise to take my investigation in the fields of my choice to the next level and beyond, as I benefit from my interactions with its learned faculty; undertake projects whose fructification will affect our todays and tomorrows. Further, UROP will be my training ground as a first-time researcher, which will serve me well as a SURF and SROP participant. Also, working alongside graduate students and faculty in VIP will be life-changing moments. Automated Modeling Lab, Automotive Research Center, Computational Mechanics Laboratory, Design Lab, EAST, Robotics Research Center, Hybrid Vehicle Systems Lab, LAMS, Mobile Robotics Laboratory, Powertrain Control Laboratory, Rehabilitation Robotics Group – are a few names from the long list of facilities that I hope to make home; experience countless eureka moments in. Indubitably, I foresee spending four years of discovery, invention and enhancement at U-M. Secondly, collaborative research with cohorts, as I work on Solar Car Team and U of M Baja Racing Team in the Wilson Student Team Project Center, will add another dimension to my repertoire as a student.
