Recommended: Essay for Teens and distracted drivers

Should the driving age be increase

Do you think it is better to have the age that you can get a driver license be lowered?There are many reasons why it should not be lowered and there are good reasons for it to be lowered and more support it should be lowered..But there are many people who think it should be lowered( Mostly teens)but i think it should not be lowered.I think this because it is proven that 16-19 age has a tendency to crash three more times than the age 20, also it depends on the personal attitude and maturity.

Accidents

Did you that the number one cause of death in the USA is because of accidents, especially car crashes.According to the Teen Driver article “In 2015, 2,333 teens in the United States ages 16–19 were killed and 235,845 were treated in emergency departments for injuries suffered in motor vehicle crashes.That means that six teens ages 16–19 died every day from motor vehicle injuries.”. Also, that is only 7% of the accidents but 11% is the number of accidents that happen but we don't know because the teens have not reported the accident or the police have kept it private.(So that more than one teen dies a day).But you might have …show more content…

Most teens are yet not that responsible as an adult and teens have a tendency to check their phones while driving because they cannot resist the urge to see what their friend just posted about their new dog.Here is a scenario so you are driving in a busy road and you friend and calls and you decide to pick it up because you only think it is a call only.Then you were talking when suddenly you hit a kid on a bike hard and you suddenly regret what happened.This is would happen also with trauma because you just have injured a little kid or might have killed the kid.But it is not that common but in cases but it might happen to you.Plus you might even get charges on for the hospital bill for what you did and get sued plus the car insurance i am sure you have to
