Why School Should Start Later In School

kids all around the U.S. Is late for school in the morning, because school starts early in
the morning. Most students don't get enough sleep at night. The average student should get 8-9.5 hours of sleep each night. If not getting enough sleep students will be tired or not pay attention in school.
In more than 40 states, at least 75 percent of public schools start earlier than 8:30 a.m. Students who don't get enough sleep are likely to fail because their always tired. Most schools, who boosted their time in the morning are getting more progress from students from test scores, attendance, and better grades in their classes. (Teny M. Shapiro), an economist at Santa Clara University, estimates that a one-hour change produces the same benefit as shrinking class size by one-third or replacing a teacher in the 50th percentile of effectiveness with one in the 84th percentile.

In the 20th century schools tended to start an hour to an hour in a half later than what the time is now in the 21st century. More than 50% of students tended to have better grades and attendance in the 20th century and had less accidents and got the recommended hours of sleep that their suppose to get. Now kids are more likely to get in car crashes falling asleep while driving because of not enough sleep at night. This is school should start later than 8-8:30 a.m.
The school districts should consider switching school start times and hour later, because of all the kids who get bad attendance, bad grades, and don't get enough sleep at night. The later schools start the more students are gonna pass and get good attendance and
