Before reading The Outsiders I had no idea what a gang was all about. Also I had no idea what friends and family meant to me. While reading your book I had questions running through my head. This book makes me think why do people join gangs ? Why do people risk their lives to join gangs ? Also, why do people fight about the littlest things like if they are in the same social group ?
