Based on standard knowledge the reasons to not believe in God are from natural and environmental misfortunes that have happened. Because of that adversity, some people think that God was not on our side and is punishing human beings. When the subject of God is mentioned, it is difficult to decide if believing in a god or not is considered appropriate. People are indecisive when questioned on this matter because there are different things to consider whether if believing in God or not is the right way for you to go. Three reasons on why not to believe in God are bad-deeds, car accidents, and environmental crisis. Whether it is doing good-deeds versus doing bad-deeds, it is a choice decided by the person. The most life threating car accidents occur while drivers are texting, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or speeding. And, because of these accidents, I would later on doubt that God exists. Because car accidents to me have a negative impact on my life; my mom was in an automobile accident when she was pregnant with me and that caused me to be born a few months earlier than I was supposed to be born. And because of that I, later on, have a disability of limping and scoliosis. Because the first way for drivers to be in a crash is by texting; because when a distracted driver sends or receives a text message, they are not concentrating on the road in front of them but rather the message they receive. Not only does that endanger themselves but also the other people on the road. Because when we are taking our eyes off the road when we are looking down at our phones. It would only take a short amount of time for an accident to occur while we are answering a text message, especially on the highway. The second way for drivers to be in a crash is by driving under the influence; because when you are drunk or under the influence of drugs, and do not have a friend to drive you home, and decides to drive, yourself that would be a fatal move to make. If there is alcohol in your system, it would not be wise to drive because of failure to focus and think clearly, losing control of your …show more content…
It is a situation that has maybe happen some of us. The most major ones are floods, tornados, and hurricanes. Storms to me are one of the most heartbreaking and deadly things to hear about because the effect of the storms only causes people misery; they are also a natural disaster that cannot be controlled by anyone. The first storm would be a flood it is caused by typically massive precipitation when natural waterways do not have the accommodation to channel excess water. The areas that are usually at risk are the houses, stores, bridges, cars, trees or any low ground buildings. When storms occur, it makes people question if God even exists or that if he even cares about us. Because flood causes people to lose houses, possessions, and families; it also it also made people injured and have financial problems. And to the people who do good things like donating to charity or helping out people in general in their daily lives it would not be fair to the residents within the affected flood area they would, later on, be left without electricity or clean drinking water, then it would lead to health problem and diseases. Additionally, they would have lost everything that they worked their whole life for, or all the money the saved up to use, or to all of the family members, they lost during the storm. It would also have a devastating aftermath for those good people in general because of
Phones use while driving is one of the worst habits to have. Drivers who text while driving are twice as likely to crash than some who is drinking and driving (New Approaches to End Texting While Driving). Teenagers believe they are the best drivers and can multitask while driving. In order to text while driving you have to be looking at your phone. If you are looking phone you are not taking precaution to what in front of you. People think looking down for one second will not hurt. In one second anything could happen such as hitting someone or even running off the road. Other people ar...
The Harvard Center of Risk Analysis preformed a study, they studied the road and people who text while they drive. Results show that texting behind the wheel causes 330,000 injuries and 2,600 deaths a year. People who talk or text on the phone are just as impaired or even more impaired as a drunk driver. A study was performed at the University of Utah, it shows that the participants crashed when they were texting while driving but when they were intoxicated, they did not crash. This shows that texting while driving takes your focus off of the road and into the conversation you are having on the phone. Also, the University of Utah has proven that hand free devices do not make driving any safer. But, driving with passengers and talking to them makes drivers safer. Passengers help inform drivers of possible risks on the
Texting and Driving has been a huge factor in accidents. More and more cities are starting to make cell phone use illegal to prevent many life threatening accidents. A phone call and text message can wait. You never know as drivers what the people are doing around you are doing unless you are watching your surroundings. The driver might be a really good driver and might be paying some attention to the road while you are on your phone but the road needs all of the drivers attention so that prevention of accidents is at its
Nearly everyone will admit that texting and driving is not only dangerous for the driver and passengers it is dangerous to other drivers on the road as well as pedestrians. Most will still do it. Car crashes are no laughing matter. Being in a car crash and seeing a family suffer because of the crash is devastating. The only thing being more horrific than witnessing the crash is being the reason it started. There is no need to be on your phone while driving. Emails, texts, and social media can wait. In their editorial, Editorial Board, Star Tribune explains why a bipartisan plan to restrict cellphone use while driving should get approved this session in Minnesota. The fact alone of being in a moving, heavy vehicle is a danger in itself but individuals that do not wear their seat belts, talk on the phone, text, and do other distracting behavior also put themselves in even more harmful situations.
Texting while driving is a lot more dangerous than drinking while driving. Talking on the phone or texting while driving delays reactions. “Talking on the cell phone while driving can make a young driver’s reaction time as slow as a seventy year old. Texting on a phone while driving is 48 times more likely to have a car accident (“Statistics”).” According to a study done by Rossi crashes happen every fifty five seconds all over this world. In ten years time it is estimated that there will be 16,000,000 car wrecks worldwide. Taking your eyes off the road for that short amount of times, it only takes just five seconds to check that one text message is twenty three times more dangerous.
It’s a Friday afternoon and you’re driving to the grocery store after work to pick up a pizza to eat later for dinner. All of your weekend plans are on your mind as you make a right turn. You hear your phone go off and quickly unlock your phone to see what plans are happening tonight. Little do you know you won’t have any plans for this weekend because the text you are about to send will end your life. This might sound harsh but this is exactly how all texting and driving stories go. Those that think it is ok to text and drive do not realize how much harm, and danger they are putting their lives at, and the lives of others that are on the road as well. Even if one thinks that they are a good enough driver to be on their phone while they drive, still are not guaranteed that they will not get in an accident. No matter how much someone has been driving, or how good they are does not mean they should be using their phones, because just by taking a glance at their phone for a second could instantly change their lives, if they were to ever get in a car crash, or hurt another human
The damage caused by the disasters will not only kill people, damage infrastructure, but it will also create a problem with climate refugees. The English writer John Ruskin once said “Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather,” (John Ruskin Quotes - Page 4) but I’m sure there are many who disagree with him. Nature’s beauty is a gift from God, but occasionally nature is not so aesthetically pleasing. Natural disasters occur often around the world destroying the lives of many on a regular basis. An example could be the recent flood victims of Australia or even last year’s earthquake in Haiti. There are several types of natural disasters¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬- from earthquakes to hurricanes and floods; they often strike without warning and leave a path of destruction and despair in their path.
