Technology is advancing very rapidly and has been for the past fifty plus years. Where can we go from here is a common question. Will this be helpful for us in the long run or are we doomed to be controlled by technology, the most simple answer is that we will not know until it happens but this is about the technology of the future including gaming, Virtual Reality, and 3D Printing. Gaming, a hobby becoming more and more popular by the passing second, with new games, new consoles and many new ways to play and interact make this a fairly fun and semi-affordable hobby. Each second there are improvements being made, data being streamed, and games being played all across the world on many different platforms. Xbox by Microsoft is one of the most …show more content…
Sony is another company that produces items like the PlayStation and Smart TVs. In the future of gaming there will most likely be holograms and immersive environment gaming with temperature controlled rooms and immersive experience witch is directly related to the Virtual Reality systems. PC gaming is becoming faster and has the ability to outdo consoles with the power capabilities of larger processors and graphics cards and the ability to have a more considerable amount of RAM built into them because they have more room to work with inside the pc case. Virtual Reality gaming is the future of gaming because it is cross compatible through most gaming platforms. Virtual reality, or, VR as it is sometimes referred to as, is a system that enables the wearer to experience reality through mostly visual feedback inside of a headset and experience the environments(s) located within the game. VR is becoming so big there is an amusement park/research facility in Utah called The Void, it is a fully immersive experience with 4d gameplay. It is temperature …show more content…
Well just create your file, send it to the printer and watch it be created in a matter of hours. Enjoy arts and crafts or making metal engagement bands or small metalworking? Just repeat the above steps. This is how easy it is to create something now if you have a vision and want to create it before you lose the idea again. The technology is still very new so it in and of itself is still in the prototyping stage of development. Although, you can already go online and order a 3d printer that can fit on your desk it is still not very cost effective. Even the cheapest models can still run upwards of six hundred dollars, not including the operating cost of subscription to software and the material you are going to be printing in which, today is still mainly molten ABS plastic. There are also desktop laser cutters and CNC milling machines but still are not very cost effective, but the prices are slowly dropping as the technology is advanced, and this will lead to a whole new world full of inventors with ideas at very corner and for it to be made almost immediately. Some of the more expensive printers can use chocolate and other sweet foods that are easy to liquefy. Scientists have developed a printer that prints with human skin cells so to make new tissue and organs. This technology could allow amputees to repair or replace or even design a completely new prosthetic for themselves. You could 3D print or carve a specialty tool you may
Technology as been around for a very long time and it is no surprise that the world is where they are today in technology progression. My expectations about technology and the future is that it will continue to progress and assist people across the world. Technology has become a thing that supports human life from helping with simple tasks to becoming a necessary device. As technology improves the dependence and need for it will increase but the inability to do so much more will decrease. I expect technology to help in ways unimaginable to humans but in reality technology in the future will attempt to assist humans leaving them to depend on it. Technology and the future will always go hand and hand because technology is something that the world is proud of and dependent on. So as time goes by people will always be working hard to improve and progress.
They now are very useful in allowing amputees to lead a more normal life. This paper will outline the advanced technology of bionic limbs. These bionic products combine artificial intelligence with human philosophy to create a more human-like way to restore the function of a lost limb. These bionic limbs take the pressure off amputees by sensing how their lost limb should move and adapts to movement of the amputee. The bionic product automatically controls itself without the amputee having to think about how to move it. The purpose of this paper is to inform about bionic products. It will further explain how they operate, along with their efficacy in prosthetics. Innovative bionic technology continuously increases the quality of life for amputees. That innovative technology will be explored through this paper, along with their specific functions and operations. The new products like the Power Knee, the Rheo Knee, the Propio Foot, and Symbiotic leg allow more mobility and individualistic movement for the amputee. Each was developed and tested to be efficient in the prosthetic world. I will explore case studies of people who have these products. I will explore the struggles and adaptions they had to make with the use of this technology.
It is predicted that humans will come a long way throughout the 2st century, hopefully eliminating the possibility for amputees to have a disadvantaged life. 3D printing is set out to be one of the most revolutionary technologies of this decade and will continue to impress on the biological front. Thanks to the use of 3D printing, new limbs can be printed with exceptionally accuracy for a infinitesimal cost. Even in the year 2017, new limbs can be printed for less than $100 USD per person making it a cheap alternative to more “advanced” prosthetic
The possibilities 3D printing can achieve are countless. This might be the most controversial and impactful technology of the future, as Hod Lipson quotes again, “When it costs you the same amount of manufacturing effort to make advanced robotic parts as it does to manufacture a paperweight, that really changes things in a profound way”
The field of bioprinting, using 3D printing technology for producing live cells with extreme accuracy, could be the answer to many of the problems we as humans face in the medical field. It could be the end to organ waiting lists and an alternative for organ transplants. In 3D printing technology lies the potential to replace the testing of new drugs on animals. However, the idea of applying 3 dimensional printing to the health industry is still quite new and yet to have a major impact. Manufacturing working 3D organs remains an enormous challenge, but in theory could solve major issues present today.
The future is a mystery that human beings can’t figure out because of the mindset ideal of the future. A step closer to the future has been the revolution of technology. It has changed society individually and mentally for the reality of the future. However, technology has changed entertainment in the manner of video games. Development to create games has been phenomenal.
Our local Colorado Orthotics and Prosthetics Service’s say “Prosthetic devices also offer a better quality of life for those who have had an amputation, and that there are replacement hands that can grasp items and allow patients to perform everyday tasks with greater ease.” They also assert that, “Artificial legs can help patients walk again without the use of a wheelchair.” Any prosthetic can help a patient live fuller and a more productive life than they might otherwise experience, but with every pro there is a con.
So now that we have gone through the history, let’s talk about what’s been going on with virtual reality today. What’s it currently being used for. Well like in the past it is still mostly used for entertainment and training purposes. For example when it comes to entertainment we already talked about “Google cardboard”. With the Google cardboard you can kind of go on a virtual tour of different places around the world. Another example of entertainment would be Sony’s Playstation VR which we also talked about earlier.
Virtual reality is a very new interest of a lot of companies working with technology and gaming industry at it is found to be a gold mine for business that due to the technological explosion over the last century has found a large group of investors into that idea and used to show the public a new experience and an invention that has found a place in history, so love VR some hate it of course but then there are many things that are able to be done with this concept, the potential of it is priceless.
The 3D Printer can be a bad thing in other people's opinions because it can cause people to illegally print out guns or even side effects that can happen with the Printer. One major thing is that the 3D Printer can cause is that it can use up a lot of electricity that can cost you a lot to pay for your electric bills. This can cause you to waste your money for your future and having not enough money to pay for your other bills because of the use of 3D Printers. “3D Printers consume about 50 to 100 times more electrical energy” (Gilpin). 3D Printers have a lot of parts in the machine to make the Printer work properly, which can also determine how much power it has to use when using it, and if you Printer is complex, this can use a lot of energy which can cause you to rise up your electric bill by a bunch which can cause
Computer games have steadily become a form of mainstream entertainment ever since Pong was released back in 1958. Today, it is hard to find an electronics department in any store that doesn't carry some sort of computer game. "Big deal," you say, "Everyone knows about computer games. What does they have to do with physics?" Well, the technology for creating more powerful software is constantly advancing, and since games are a form of software, they too become more and more advanced. As games become more advanced, game developers aim to create games that offer a more realistic experience. The technology has advanced to such a stage that making the games look real is no problem, but making a truly immersive experience is something different. That's where physics comes in.

Imagine printing what ever it is you need from your own office or home. In addition to that, you will have full control customizing the product and the printer will have no difficulties achieving your designs. All you have to buy is the ink and the material additives and the printer will do the rest.
I don't know what the future holds but I know who holds the future. Days go by and how time flies, seasons always changing. When we contemplate the future we envision mind-warping technology and global warming destroying the Earth. Change is inevitable but it's up to our supremacy what we and our planet Earth change into. Will we help or hinder our future survival? One sentence from America's Declaration of Independence has some relevance to this matter. 'But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security'. In other words if something is wrong, those that have the ability to take action, have the responsibility to take action.
If you are one of those who are still hesitant in getting into the whole Virtual Reality mania then it’s time to let go and join in the fun! As you now know virtual reality is not just a tool for enjoyment but also can be used for education and learning in ways we never could have
