Marksmanship and JROTC

Marksmanship is a very valued asset in the lives of American citizens. American citizens are very involved with conceal and carry and hunting, one can understand that the basis of safety is heavily involved with both. School systems in North Carolina require that in order for one to be on the Marksmanship Team, one must also be a student in the Reserve Officers Training Corps ( ROTC ) class. Many people believe that one does not need to be in ROTC to be on the Marksmanship Team. Students in the school can skillfully aim at a target and hit it. The percent of members in each of the following categories must be maintained to meet the provisions of the IRC: 1) past or present veterans, 2) cadets which are ROTC or armed services academies, spouse, widows or widowers of a veteran or cadet, 3) general public members.
