Kennedy once said, “Let us think of education as the means of developing our greatest abilities, because in each of us there is a private hope and dream which, fulfilled, can be translated into benefit for everyone and greater strength of the nation,” education is the foundation for a better future, society, and for greater investments. It is a way of achieving bigger dreams: education is a lifelong process for learning and sharing of knowledge. Higher education has evolved to become one of the principal means in educating individuals. It is approached through the medium of colleges and universities, and college currently cost more than ever. However, without a college education, Americans also have a higher stand at losing more than ever. The increasing cost of higher education in the United States has been a continuous topic for debates in the past few decades. American society emphasizes the importance of education after high school, however, its costs have been rising dramatically, leaving people in the United States to wonder if higher education is really worth the cost or not. Higher education has been a very important topic for students and their families, and it should become an essential part of every citizen’s life.
