Support is vital to the success of any student. Trying to go to college can be really hard without that support. It is what drives me to be an excellent student. In my family, my brothers and I will be the first generation to go to college. My parents always tried their hardest to give us the best education they could offer. They did not want us to make the same mistake they did by not going to college. They were always there if I needed something and stood by me whenever I was in a tough situation. With the support they gave to my brothers, both of them achieved what they the had set out for themselves. So now it is my turn to follow their example and achieve my college seeking goals.
From a young age, I knew I wanted to go to college, but I had no idea what it actually took to get into one. It is very hard to get in college and even harder to do it alone. A key element to success would be the support from family and friends. I have two brothers that were always there for me if I needed help. I had no idea what college was like until I went to visit my brother at San Diego State University, SDSU. My family was invited to a family football night to show what college life and college sports were all about. I was so excited. When we arrived at SDSU, we parked in massive parking structure. My experience at San Diego State University helped me see what I’ve been working toward for so long. This experience provided me with a better understanding of where I stand and where I want to be. I have always dreamed of going to college, and with the support of my family, I now have a glimpse of what that dream might entail.
