Electrolytes are vital to your health and are extremely good for you when you are doing physical activities, but they are also needed when you are not doing any Physical activities because Electrolytes carry out many of your bodies functions that keep you alive and healthy.
Electrolytes are minerals in the body that when dissolved, are conductive. Electrolytes carry out many of the body's vital functions like, maintaining a normal heartbeat, growing bones and teeth, and allowing your muscles to move. There are seven major electrolytes that you should be making sure you have enough of and that you don't go into what is called electrolyte imbalance. Magnesium is an electrolyte with lots of functions. First of all Magnesium helps with replicating RNA and DNA in your cells, if synthesis did not happen then your cells could not reproduce. The second function of Magnesium is, maintaining normal nerve and muscle functions(What). Magnesium also boosts your immune system so you can fight illnesses and prevent them. Magnesium as well as the other electrolytes help maintain a normal heartbeat. Magnesium also stabilizes blood sugar so you don't high or low blood sugar.
The fifth Important electrolyte is Calcium, As you may have heard calcium forms bones and teeth but did you know 99% of your body's calcium is in your bones? Perhaps The most important function of phosphate is that it is highly needed for energy production in your bodies cells, that means that without the electrolyte Phosphate you would have no energy and you would collapse from exhaustion.
Finally, last but not least the seventh major electrolyte, Bicarbonate. Bicarbonate does not carry out a lot of important functions but it does do one important thing. Bicarbonate is a key component in the PH buffer which is used to maintain proper Ph levels(What). If you did not have enough Bicarbonate in your body then your body couldn't do many of the processes that it should.
In conclusion These seven major electrolyte should be consumed in a moderation and should be monitored in order to have good health.
