As a young girl, I was taught to accept others no matter how different they are from me. Being from Atlanta, Georgia, I have grown up in an environment where diversity is normalized. As seen in my eyes, Atlanta is very accepting of other races, genders, sexuality, and religions. This has entitled me to my opinion that diversity is very important in my life.
