Did you know that more than 100 million animals die each year because of experimentation? According to PETA, 100 million animals are killed in the U.S from scientific experimentation. They used animal testing during the space race by sending animals into space on rockets. Animal testing was unnecessary during the Space Race. Animals shouldn't be tested on for any reason. Their lives are as important as ours if not more. During the space race, many animals died because they were sent into space. According to the text in Amplify, "Laika probably died from heat exhaustion." Animals die because of the stupidity of humans. Humans now don’t care about anybody except themselves.
