I plan on attending either UW Madison or UW Milwaukee and majoring in Elementary Education with an additional focus on English as a Second Language (ESL). My goal is to graduate in four years, obtain my teaching license, and get a job in an elementary school after college graduation. My ideal grade to teach would be third or fourth grade. As a teacher, I want to be able to impact the next generation just as my teachers have done for me. My brother Max was born on my second birthday and from the start he and I have had a special relationship which has influenced many of my life choices including becoming a teacher. Max has many medical conditions in addition to Down syndrome but he doesn’t let any of this stop him from reaching his full potential. Much of my parent’s attention needed to go to Max, so I learned to grow up quickly, by being independent and a helpful sister, even …show more content…
Koniar, inspired me with her engaging and thorough lessons. These lessons ranged from learning cursive, pretending to be on the Titanic, to participating in class readings of Harry Potter. She went out of her way each and every day to make every one of her students feel special and to make sure we all were learning to the best of our ability. When my brother was in an extended hospital stay, Ms. Koniar even took my sister and me on outings so that we could feel special. I could tell she wanted each of her students to succeed through the amount of effort she put in to her teaching each day. Ms. Koniar inspired me to be the student I am today and the teacher I want to become. I often find myself reflecting her teaching style in my job as a swim instructor. I use humor, vary my activities, and encourage my students to try their best with each new skill I teach them. My goal is to emulate her as best as I can when I have my own class so that my future students feel as strong an impact as I have felt from Ms.
Overall, I would love to become an elementary teacher. In fact, I wouldn't mind being a middle school or high school teacher either as long as I get to help my future students become better people, and more importantly, teach them new things. I think I have a fun personality and all of the right qualifications to become a teacher. I plan to attend a four year university when I am done with high school and get my bachelor’s degree in art education (K-12). Then hopefully, after I get a job, I will work towards my master’s degree. Being a teacher is truly what I want to do for the rest of my life.
Elementary School teacher, a professional educator for grades k-5, is a career I wish to pursue because I want to teach children the building blocks of education, love the energy and excitement that younger children give off, and want to be able to help children with special challenges. I have wanted to be an elementary school teacher for about three years now, I knew I wanted to pursue this occupation because there are many benefits to being an educator, and have always worked with children well. Some challenges are I will have to get a bachelor 's degree and have to complete a state licensing exam (“preparation 1”)
When I was born, my family had just migrated to California from Mexico. In a new country, my father worked in landscaping earning less than $4 dollars an hour, while my mother relied on public transportation to take her newborn child to and from doctor visits. In the land of opportunity, my family struggled to put a roof over our heads. But never discouraged, my parents sought to achieve their goals and worked tirelessly to raise my younger brother and I. From a young age, I was taught the importance of education; this became a major catalyst in my life. My desire to excel academically was not for self-gain, but my way of contributing to my family’s goals and aspirations.
I thrive organizing, planning, and dealing with children of all ages, I know that the best way to pursue my dream and passion is to get my Degree in Education from the University of Illinois in Chicago. I know that at this school I will get the best knowledge to help become the teacher that will give the students a bright
I’m a student at Tompkins Cortland Community College this is my first semester as a college student. I plan to go to college for four years and only be at TC3 for this one semester, then transfer to a four year school. College has grown around the world more than ever and more people are attending college more than ever. I have chosen to go to college because of the rewards after graduation. Yes it is another four years of school but by getting more education and an extended degree gives me more opportunities for better jobs and more money. The career I have chosen to study is business administration. I am hoping that it takes me to a great job managing a company or possibly being an accountant.
In a society where kids must go to school up to the collegiate level, teaching is an impactful career choice. Teachers help contour the minds of future leaders of the world. Furthermore, teachers play a crucial role in guiding students to the knowledge, skills, and abilities they need to succeed in life, and teachers lead students to make informed decisions on any topic the meet in the future. As a teacher, a person must relinquish their knowledge onto students. Finally, they must prepare their students for all the obstacles they will face later in life.
It’s funny how quickly time flies by it seems like just yesterday I was complaining about writing the first part of this assignment. Looking back at it now, the reasons why I want to become a teacher remain the same. I want to inspire, shape, encourage, and mentor my students. I want to make the kind of impact on each and every single one of them that they will carry on for the rest of their lives. Whether it be simply believing in them, and telling them that I know they are capable of accomplishing anything they want to, or helping them through a tough time. My desire to become a teacher has increased tremendously the past 16 weeks, and I am so eager and excited to finish my education to begin my teaching career.
In my first years of teaching I plan to get a better understanding of my school community and the surrounding community, so I know where and how to get support for my students. I plan on attending trainings to keep up with the various concepts and principles that I will have to follow when teaching. I will also need to develop deeper understandings of adolescent development which will help when I am teaching to see changes in behavior and understanding and how it relates to each individual student. As a long term goal I will build relationships with fellow teachers to provide them support and learn together to become a team of advocates for our students. I know that it is up to me to grow and continue learning all that I can to provide my students the best learning experience possible.
Doctors, lawyers, politicians, and engineers. How did they all get to where they are today? No matter the position someone may hold in society everyone has progressed to where they are in life because they had a teacher, someone who taught them in the way they should go. Teacher as defined in the dictionary as one who instructs. To teach someone is to communicate skills and give instruction. Today I would like to tell you why I would like to become a teacher. Specifically speaking I will tell you what has led me to this decision and why I want to become a teacher.
I never had a teacher that I clicked with. Changing from school to school was hard and anytime I would get close to someone, I would end up changing schools. I never knew what it meant to have a teacher care about a student so much. That all changed when I moved to Delafield, Wisconsin in 2007. I started a new school in the fourth quarter and everything felt the same. All of a sudden, when seventh grade came around, I felt like a whole new person. This is the year that I met the teacher who became a part of my life. Mrs. Wroblewski has positively inspired me to follow my dreams and be who I want to be. Mrs. Wroblewski is an inspiration to me and a role model because she defended me when I was bullied, gave me great opportunities, a great listener, and is always there for me not matter what.
...my education at Concord University studying Elementary Education. After graduating with my Bachelors of Science in Education, I plan to get a job as a teacher in an elementary school. I believe that there is a need for compassionate and caring teachers in elementary schools. At such a young age, I believe that it is important for elementary students to have positive role models in their lives. I am very interested in pursuing my Masters Degree at some point, but my main goal is to get out into the school system as a teacher.
I would love to be given the opportunity to teach kindergarten. So, I have designed my classroom to fit the kindergarten needs. I have chosen several different centers that I feel should be in the classroom that helps promote play and learning. Children should be able to move in the classroom freely. By choosing the centers that I have picked the students will be able to gain a better understanding and learning experience.
“I wanted to become a teacher to be able to make a positive difference on the future of children. For me, it is fulfilling challenge, stimulating the next generation to become lifelong learners. I have always been grateful to my mom (who is a retired teacher) for implanting values in me. I feel I should contribute what I have learned and experienced over the years. This way I will be paying back and at the same time can fulfill my desire of enhancing the education system.”
I am a hard-working, confident and conscientious and have a keen desire to be a primary school teacher. The main reason I want to pursue this vocation is because I love the prospect of working with children, being such an important part of a child’s life is a real honour. I have been fascinated at how quickly they learn things, gaining an insight into their perceptions and how they see the world, the idea of playing an active role in helping them develop, greatly appeals me. Having a long term goal of working with children, I believe I am particularly suited to a degree in Primary/Physical education. I gain huge satisfaction from being able to help them learn and discover new things about the world. Nurturing a child’s development is an occupation that offers huge satisfaction, both intellectual and emotional. My ambition is to be in charge of a classroom, to introduce ideas and skills to the class and observe and feel their response. The teacher’s skills of good communication, patience, clarity and the ability to explain the world are very demanding of one’s intelligence and one’s p...
