Multiple students have a passion for one specific academic subject area that they can excel in without trying. Some subjects come naturally such as Math and Science, others are learned such as Ceramics and Photography. My passion is for Film/Video production and I have furthered my interest in that subject by thinking how I can make a career in that field and how I can go to college and major it. In order to become a producer, I have found out from specific research that I need to complete 1-5 years of industrial experience while having a bachelor degree in film. It is possible to gain experience in the film industry by becoming an intern. The key skills for this career are to have Skills in critical thinking, writing, decision-making, time-management, monitoring, and active listening. The average pay rate for a film producer is $66,677 yearly, with the expenses paid off. …show more content…
After I am done with my responsibilities, I am able to focus on my writing and thinking of new ideas as my first screenplay. Inside the classroom, I can help other students tap into their creativity and explain how it can in their future careers. It also helps to imagine during class to cope with the soul-crushing boredom during school hours. During my years of high school, I have not been able to pursue my coursework at a higher level but I have found classes during the summer that can help me improve my weaker areas. After I graduate, I want to go to Cerritos and major in Film Production and have a minor in Culinary Arts. I honestly would want to go to a UCLA but I know I would not get accepted due to my grades and I have not completed my A-G requirements for the schools. I would also Like to go to Tokyo Film School to challenge myself to open to a bigger demographic and release movies that everyone would
Over the course of this semester, I have progressed as a writer. Picking up new skills and dropping old bad habits has transformed me into a much better writer than when I entered the English 101. Entering this class, the only English classes that I took were mandatory high school classes all four years. In these classes, however, content was focused on reading novels, poems, and literature. There was usually only one major writing assignment each year, which was a research paper on a topic that was given by our teachers. Although there was some writing involved in these classes, most of the class time was spent on improving my reading and comprehension skills. A small part of the class was given to improve my skills as a writer and even a researcher. In English 101, however, most of the class time was spent on writing and more specifically, academic writing. This includes doing proper research, picking a worthy topic to write about, correctly analyzing sources, and developing a well-rounded, complete paper. I have progressed a writer over the semester by effectively integrating and analyzing sources better, and being more specific with my words.
My Growth as a Writer Most of us write in some form every day, so you would expect that most of us would be well practiced and pretty good at writing. I read and write all the time; I have taken several college courses and nearly all of them require writing in some form. However, before taking this class, not only was I not a good writer, I knew I wasn’t a good writer. Now I am not saying that I am ready to write my first novel, but I am certainly more confident in turning in my college papers. The content of this course and the style of teaching was incredibly beneficial to me.
I have often wondered what it would be like to experience the freedom of choosing my own class schedule. This has to be infinitely more stimulating and enjoyable. I am also aware that college will be significantly more challenging, but I have always found it easier to study for a class that interests me. I am willing to accept the fact that as long as I am in school, there will be required courses which may not engender excitement or enthusiasm; however, success should not be as difficult to achieve due to the maturity that is developing during this last year of high school. In addition, I have gained an understanding of the benefit of being well rounded. There is value in all classes taken. It helps to know that even my least favorite subject will contribute to the ultimate goal of personal and career development.
For me, being a college writer means writing well-organized essays that readers enjoy reading. Being a well rounded writer was also important. Each unit in this class challenged me to write in a well-organized, concise way. During each unit, we conducted some sort of revision activity where I was exposed to other students’ writing. As I read their work, I picked up on their use of transition words and separation of paragraphs to make the essay flow. Naturally, I began implementing more transition words in my own work and learned the appropriate ways to split paragraphs. The structure of the class was key to the organization of my ideas which was crucial to the development of my essay. During the third unit of this class, we were asked to identify an issue on campus, conduct research on the issue, and finally propose a solution to correct the issue. At first, it was difficult to get my ideas down and figure out what it was I would research. What I learned in class allowed me to first identify the issue I would research, write a rough draft, and hear what others had written before the final paper was due. This helped me to identify the main points, brainstorm and figure out what additional research I would need to find to support my argument. Being able to organize my thoughts from the beginning made writing the paper a much easier process. This course has helped me to grow as a writer and make
...publish. By turns the producer must be best friend, teacher, and enforcer the artist has. You have to be prepared to fight battles, and know when to compromise and when you need to fight for this change. The end result of the sessions will be on there shoulders, but no one wants to hire a producer who is difficult to work with. When you make the jump to working as a producer your first artist just may be with unknown artists or small labels, but it only takes one hit on the billboard charts to move up to the big leagues.
Each year, as a new group of students enter my classroom, I will encourage them to be expressive of their imaginations in their favorite subjects, whether it will be art, literature, math or music. We all have rules and regulations to follow, and each student will know that there is no exception in the school or the classroom. Another goal in my classroom will be to keep the students excited about learning, not to treat school as a game or a social event, but to encourage a unique and fun atmosphere to learn.
As surprising as it may seem, there is no education required to be a music producer. It is very helpful and more likely to increase the chance of employment if there is some educational background though. There are schools nationwide that offer programs in music production that teach the technical aspects of music and it is recommended to enroll in one of these degree programs if one is pursuing a career as a music producer. There are multiple degrees that will aid in the teaching of producing music such as the Bachelor of Music in Music Production and the Bachelor of Science in Music Technology. The skills taught in these fields of study include, but are not limited to, recording and mixing music, mastering, and music theory (education-portal.com). Learning these abilities can not only improve one’s knowledge of the technical si...
I’m a student at Tompkins Cortland Community College this is my first semester as a college student. I plan to go to college for four years and only be at TC3 for this one semester, then transfer to a four year school. College has grown around the world more than ever and more people are attending college more than ever. I have chosen to go to college because of the rewards after graduation. Yes it is another four years of school but by getting more education and an extended degree gives me more opportunities for better jobs and more money. The career I have chosen to study is business administration. I am hoping that it takes me to a great job managing a company or possibly being an accountant.
“My life is story telling. I believe in stories in their incredible power to keep people alive, to keep the living alive and the dead.”
Ultimately, music producers attempt to accomplish the overall work of the whole recording session. They are the coach and also the musician/artist in their own way. Every music producer is different, but most can produce and compose tracks entirely by themselves. They are commonly found working and practicing inside their record studio. As a music producer you do not only have to work for a band, musician, or artist, you can also work for television, movies, and advertisements. There is no education requirement but, it would be recommended for the average person who attempts to jump into the music profession. The job growth rate of music producers is unquestionably slow, but the need for them will undeniably be for sure. Without the involvement of music producers and the impact they have made in the music world, music would not be produced the same.
I am Fasiha Abdul Rehman, holding a professional degree of Doctor of Pharmacy at 23 years of age; with a deeper interest in contributing to the understanding of diabetes and cardiovascular diseases and unveiling new information for medical advancement and betterment of mankind and I envisage Masters as crucial step in this direction.
I decided to be a director when I was fourteen years old. I was in my tenth grade and studied about world wars in history. I was inspired by the stories of the wars and started writing stories based on the same subject. I had little clue what to do with those stories until I watched ‘Saving Private Ryan’ .This movie based on second world war inspired me to be a filmmaker.
The prospect of becoming a filmmaker is my true destiny. Discovering this passion of mine was not an immediate epiphany, rather a gradual process and growing love for something that has forever changed me. As I reflect on what influenced my relationship with film I am able to bring it all the way back to my early childhood when I put on elaborate performances in my backyard. My imagination wandered off to far lands where anything was possible, and all I wanted to do was bring people with me. This relates to one of the reasons I am fascinated with film, experiencing a reality in which your mind is completely immersed and intiguid by is truly exceptional.
Taking a creative writing class was a good way for me to express my thoughts and feelings onto paper, as well as read my other classmates stories. Reading stories created by other people lead me into their mind brain to experience what type of writer they were, it was an overall exquisite class. I believe that every person has a way of expressing who they are through writing stories of their own, fiction is the best way to express your creative imagination. This class that I took for two years helped me become a better writer and helped me understand the types of writers we have.
Some video editors become famous themselves by just uploading edited films on to websites for people to see. Most video editors get a degree in video editing to get a job on a movie set. A lot of video editors work with raw footage, not touched, and make them look better right before it gets broadcasted to the world. I bet these video editors have a lot of stress but I think I will be able to handle it. Most video editing is done on a computer. Most jobs related to this career is found on movie sets, television shows and even on YouTube.
