I have several aspirations that I wish to accomplish as an individual. Growing up I have always wanted to pursue a respectable career; something that sparks life into each and every day. I never completely knew what would give me that satisfaction or fuel my ambition, until now. There is something about giving back to the community that creates a drive for me; a state of mind that provides fulfillment and pride for the actions performed. My career of choice, physical therapy, requires a sensitivity for a patient's emotional and physical status and enabling returning to them a satisfaction that may have been lost or damaged. Over time, great setbacks because of limited resources have made the journey extremely difficult but not impossible. I have learned to cope with many of my setbacks because enduring the hardships and understanding the roots of humility that lay behind the success that is to come are what makes a great individual. Struggling financially has not been the only ordeal that I have come across. The greatest challenge in the land of opportunity is being an undocumented student struggling to live up to the expectations that have been established since early childhood. Being told to refrain from applying to a 4-year college or community college because of immigration and financial status, giving up on your dreams as a young child takes a toll. Nevertheless, despite the failures that may or may not come through the rigorous academics, financial or immigration struggles, there will be no inch of doubt that surrounds my well being nor will it be the determining factor that decides what I am capable
