An event that happened in my life is that I got married and then six months after our marriage we found out that she was pregnant. I was shocked that she was pregnant due to a medical condition of hers and due to my heart condition. I have a heart condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. It was a long journey and a lot of going to the doctor. My wife continued to do online classes while being pregnant and sick. She was even hospitalized for having anemia and high blood pressure. She prayed a lot and kept believing in God and that she could continue with her online classes and deal with being pregnant at the same time. This changed my mind about pursuing a degree online as well in Biblical Studies. Seeing my wife pass her classes and push herself to complete her lesson plans and take care of our daughter …show more content…
My goals here at Colorado Christian University are important to me because I what to accomplish my degree here. I love the fact that you are a Christian school and my number one goal is to get my degree in Biblical Studies to further the gift that I have and to draw closer to God. I would like to get more knowledge of what God wants me to do with my gift and to further my education to become a pastor when I am done. There are other goals that I have such as being able to purchase my family a nice home and by also ministering to lost souls out there as well. I want to start a homeless ministry with my wife so we can do Gods will and help people draw closer to God. By going to a college like you all I can pursue my dream and get the proper biblical studies that I need. I will remain focus here at your school and by leaning on God and by studying and getting my assignments in early or on time. I am willing to do the work and get my degree in what God wants me to
The common goal of Christianity is to spread faith and good morals, and we give inspiration. We try to be a good influence in the world and try to make an impact on people lives. Our ambition is to be like God. Everyone is not perfect, so we also try to improve ourselves as well as others. Another goal is to be
A person does not experience many events that shape their life in a large way, whether it be for better or worse. I have had just one major situation that has sculpted me into the person that I am today. In February of 2008, I was diagnosed with a life changing disease; it would relieve me of the agony I had been experiencing for as long as I could remember, but also restrict my diet for the rest of my life.
Goals give you something to measure yourself against and give you direction. Currently, my main goal is to graduate from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree of science in engineering with a concentration in biomedical engineering. My anticipated time to graduation is five years with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Beyond getting my bachelor’s degree at East Carolina University, I would like to go to medical school and become a doctor focusing on prosthetics. In order to make my goals a reality, I will have to work diligently to remain on track throughout my schooling. Additional goals that I have set for myself are to complete homework assignments by the time they are due, reading assigned material before it is discussed in class, doing well in each of my courses this semester, successfully participating in extracurricular activities, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, getting a position as an engineer, and becoming a leader within both the engineering community and the general community. A world-class engineering student woul...
My essay is based on the book “The Idea of a Christian College” by Arthur F. Holmes, the revised edition. I want to state the benefits of attending a Christian college. A Christian liberal arts education is often misunderstood and underrated. In today's competitive economy, having a degree is required for applying to an entry level job. In this paper, I would like to provide examples for readers to see the benefits and advantages of receiving your degree from a Christian liberal arts college.
As time passed she grew older and wiser. She graduated high school and began working several jobs. Attending college was never a thought in her mind. She married young and moved on with her life. Eventually she became pregnant again, but this time she was ready. By now God had strengthened her life. She believed in him and sought is will. She had been given a second chance. To this day my mother is a strong and charismatic woman, full of God's love and joy for life.
My goals all started the day when I came home from school and my dad was packing his stuff, loading his car to leave. This happened in November of 2002. When I was 5 years old my parents got a divorce. From that day forward I have been motivated to do the best that is possible and show both of my parents that I can be better than them and actually pursue a higher education. The college I would like to attend is the University of North Texas, because I want to have a future.
College is the main goal of my life. It is a life dream to go to college to get a degree and get a successful job. Everything that I have done until this point is to get to college. During my senior year I plan to apply to many colleges and to take the SAT's to get into college. My GPA and SAT scores will be crucial for me to get into college. With college I will further my business career, making more successful in the field I enjoy doing.
My goal is the final destination of my financial success. It is to be able to pay bills without worry, be free of debt, have enough money for my kids to go to colleges and help other people with my financial resources.
What is my personal purpose? Is a question that I have never thought to ask myself until recently. Then when I started learning more about a personal purpose I started wondering if I have one and what it was. I never thought of myself has having a real purpose until a watched an interview Will Smith had did and he had said “When your life means something to someone other than yourself than you have a purpose.” That is when I realized that I have a purpose. My purpose is that I am the hug that let others know it is going to be ok. My personal goals is to be genuinely happy with myself and life and to make my parents proud, my career goal is to own my own business and being successful at doing so, finally, my educational goal is to get my bachelors degree and grauate with honors and even moving on to getting my masters. Having goals is important to me because I know that while I am in the process of accomplishing them I will have something great to look forward to in the end.
A event in my life would have to be the birth of my oldest child. I was only 18 years old when I gave birth to my baby girl. I remember this day like it was yesterday. May 4, 2006, I was laying in my bed talking on the phone with my best friend Janice. We was having our normal girl talk when I start having bad abdominal pain.
I am the first one of my family to attend college, and I want to set a memorable mark in my family and be a great role model for my younger cousins. These goals that I have set in place will allow me to work on bettering our society. With an education, I will be another person in society with a higher education degree, which is always helpful to our society. I also will be working in medicine and medical research. This will allow me to work on new treatments for diseases that will allow the mortality rate in the United States to extend.
Battling a miscarriage a couple years prior, my mother was feeling mixed emotions. Around this time, I was a senior in high school so the news was neutral for me being that I was the only child for eighteen years. I did not know if I should rejoice or complain because I was leaving for college soon. My brother was born about two weeks before my high school graduation, and I must say that it was a very intense and complicated birth being that my mother was nearly forty giving birth to her second child.
I have always wanted to make good grades but I never really set any goals but, then I realized that setting academic goals are way more important than people realize . I then started to set goals like my sophomore year of high school after I did that it really helped me focus on my future and what I wanted for myself. My goals I think pushed me so much more academically they opened my eyes a little bit more. One Goal I set was to graduate High school with a Core 40 diploma, which I did, so that is one goal down and a bunch more to go. My senior year I started applying to college but my main goal was to make into Saint Mary-of-the Woods and when I received my acceptance letter I was ecstatic. So far, I am still trying to figure out my academic goals for college but, I do know for sure that I want to succeed in every single way that I can so I can make a better future for myself. A goal that I made this year is to make the dean’s list every single time, for this I will study so hard for every test, do all of my homework, and ask questions when I have them and maybe even getting a tutor. This challenge will probably be really tough but I believe that I can do it if I put my mind to it, and I tend to be a very determined
My goals for this year are to say less do more, get better grades, and have a closer relationship with Jesus. “Say less do more” is a very personal goal. I made this goal because I always told my dad that I would get better grades. I told him each and every year when my progress report came out but I would always dissapoint him. I would also tell others that I was going to make it playing basketball although I never tried out for a team.
Attending Ohio University and obtaining my masters degree is a major goal and perhaps one of this largest and most challenging goals I want to overcome. My goals are high because I know I am blessed with the clarity to reach my career goals.
