In order to commence, I truly believe that I excel in a countless amount of subjects. These range from academics and courses that primarily focus on the arts. The scholastic subjects that I excel in consist of science, studies, literature, and language. There are various factors to which I attribute my success. These consist of but are not limited to my community, the ambiance I was raised in, my supportive mentors, my profoundly intelligent teachers, and the potent work ethic I gained from my parents.
Subsequently, I believe that I excel in a countless amount of subjects. The foundation of nature and science has always fascinated me. This feeling originated since the time I was a child. Going outside and seeing the vibrant rays of the sun penetrate through the leaves of the maple tree in my back while swinging on an old rusty playset was enticing. Since the time I was a child, I ventured in my backyard and witnessed the sun as something more than just a source of light. Questioning the world around the outside world served as the foundation of my entertainment through my imagination. It certainly shined through my eyes which then emotionally penetrated my heart. My passion and devotion for science is fabricated from the basis of these memories.

Attending symposiums and giving presentations around the nation that pertain to health and science enforce my scientific insight. I attended the California Minority Youth Environmental Training Institute during my sophomore year of high school because I am highly interested in science, technology, engineering, and mathematic (STEM) education. Many people rush through their daily life without contemplating their actions, thereby missing vast opportunities for achievement. They waste valuable time engaging in frivolous matters instead of putting their energies towards more productive and meaningful purposes. In the words of the Dalai Lama: “Life is not about acquiring money and other facilities; it is about dedicating your life to helping others as much as you can.” The immeasurable value of helping others has been engrained in me since childhood. As a result of my own difficult family circumstances, I have become more sensitive, kind and mindful towards others and their own situations. I have developed a passion for helping others, which, in combination with a proclivity towards medicine has lead to my descion to become a Physician Assistant. I want to live a life where I can provide healthcare and aid to anyone who needs.
“It always seems impossible until it’s done”. This quote from Nelson Mandela comes to mind when describing why I aspire to become a Physician Assistant. It has always been a great motivation and inspired me not to get discouraged with failure; rather look forward for your goals. Frequently, it takes many trials and lack of success as well as achievements, for one to truthfully discover him/herself. I instinctively progressed through the motions of life. Many options were available and choosing a career as I grew up kept altering, until one day when I saw how helping other people is my sole purpose of life. Getting to know more of physician assistant drove me into the thoughts of pursuing it as a career.
I have experience in the medical environment, and when two of my grandmothers took ill I helped them along the way. My heart is good, but the devil never fails to steal my joy. I am also a mother of four beautiful young ladies, so yes I also have a lot of patience. I treat most of my patients like they were my own family. All of my patients get my respect. It is owed to them and they demand it as well. Having compassion, being king, understanding, helpful, staying prepared and willing are all just a few personal attributes that one should have when dealing with patients.

Physician assistants have very similar responsibilities to doctors but with less schooling, less student loans, and typically the sponsoring doctor/facility will cover the malpractice insurance.
I knew I wanted to pursue science, but I wanted to help people as well. I wanted to help people who couldn’t help themselves. I wanted to help those less who didn’t have my luck in the world. During my senior year in high school I helped at the Vannie Cook Hematology Center, seeing those kids made me realize that I could help them. I was aware that I could grow up to change their life. There I realized- I knew I wanted to make a difference for those people, and people who suffer similar faiths. My junior year I changed my cluster to Health Sciences. I never changed it again. In fact, on the next 10 years, I hope to attend Medical
My career goals is to start my career as a Medical Assistant working in a medical office. I would like to learn every aspect of the job before specializing in one area. My second career goal is to work in a hospital setting where I can get experience working with patients in that type of setting. After I have gained some experience in the medical arena I plan to continue working with cardiac patients.

Growing up my parents would always tell me that they knew I will become someone in life, and that they will always support me throughout any decision I made. My passion for the fascinating wolrd of science literally can not be put into words. Since receiving my first home science kit at five years of age the way things work and why has always been at the forefront of my mind. During my early years I would find great delight in examining anything I could fit under the lens of my telescope. I will never forget my first look at the intricate detail of a human hair.
At three in the morning, the phone rang. A trembling voice relayed the news that my friend had fallen into a coma due to an inoperable brain aneurysm. A few days later, her family decided to stop life support after confirmation that she was completely brain-dead. The fact that nothing could be done for her in this day and age, despite all our technological advancements, was a great shock to me. In addition, the fact that she was younger than me made me realize how short and precious each life truly is. Her death inspired me to pursue medicine so that one day, others in similarly hopeless situations, would have a chance to survive. My dream is that one day, I will contribute to bringing medicine one step closer to curing someone with a currently untreatable disease.
It is my extreme privilege that I have been given an opportunity to express about myself in my very own context. The very fortunate thing ever happened to me was that I had a very good early education which helped me a lot in the following time i.e., during and after my schooling. As I grew up also did my interests, at first Mathematics was the only topic which always dominated my interests but later on my interests made a shift on to the field of sciences mainly Physical Sciences with the introduction of many interesting topics in it. That was the time since which the inception of my interest in the field of sciences begun. Learning had become the key part of my life since then.
