MY BLOG POST. If I could take a cause, it would be to stop the gun violence because I have seen a lot of people dying with guns. Guns kill a lot of people which makes this place a non safe place. If there were no guns in the world right now, then this world might have been a safer place than it is now. I would/can change it by removing guns from the world. I believe that removing guns is a good idea because without guns, people would stop killing each other and this world would be a safer place for a lot of people. I could also make a difference by telling people why guns are bad and tell them to stop using them. I get a little scared when I see a gun because I think of violence, death, hatred, and bloodshed when I see them. I think
The United States being the leader in per-capita gun deaths among industrialized nations, massive shooting such as Columbine, Sandy Hook, and Virginia Tech, and an average of 33 people dying in the United States everyday due to gun related violence are all reasons that we not only should, but need to regulate gun laws.
Since the inception of the Brady Act, over 118 million applications for firearm transfers or permits were subject to background checks. About 2.1 million applications, or 1.8%, were denied.
I know that gun control will never work the way it is meant to work, but I also don't have a lot of other ideas.
Imagine... you are driving down the street to see your loving family. You stop at a gas station and a guy comes in. He has a bandana and bad intentions. All of a sudden, he loads a pistol and aims it towards you. What are your options? Try to visualize, a guy going to see his wife and kids, but when out of nowhere a person pulls you aside and then points a pistol at you. Over the course of years, ninety-three United States citizens are killed with guns. Due to these reasons, it seems it is necessary to get rid of guns because of the 21,175 suicides, 505 deaths due to accidental/ negligent discharge of a firearm. Guns should be banned for civilian use, due to too many deaths from unregistered users, misuse, and increased crime rate.
presence of guns in America. I do believe that the problem is one that should be solved,
The following 6 arguments are in favor for gun control. They are in ranked from the strongest to the weakest arguments. Having more gun laws on the books would decrease deaths. Between 1999 and 2013 the total gun related deaths were 464,033. (ProCon.org 2016) Cause of all deaths being killed by a firearm is ranked 12th. It is alarming that 200 people go to the emergency every day because of a gunshot wound. Furthermore, having federal universal background checks could reduce death by 56.9 percent. (ProCon.org 2016) Along with background checks for ammunition would further reduce the death toll by 80.7 percent and having a gun identification requirement could reduce the death rate by 82.5 percent. (ProCon.org 2016)
My first point is if you take away the guns then do you actually think all the deaths will stop? The main reason for gun control is because of the gun violence. A killer that wants to kill will take the fastest route to killing. Which is a gun, but once you take that away they will just use knives or anything they can get there hands on. Anything can kill
Banning guns will create a world without violence. But there is no such thing as a world without violence. Guns don't kill, people kill our country is producing more idiots than anywhere in the world, we skate anyone and everyone through then we ignore them. We allow labels to be put on every condition, even if its laziness and we call it autism or Asperger’s. We reward kids for acting dumb when they just don’t want to try and we give them IEP’s and reduce the work they have to do.
A solution to assault style weapons and large capacity magazines. I would like to see a full ban on large capacity magazines as their practicality for civilian use is minimal. For assault style weapons using the AR 15 as reference. I believe a stricter protocol for selling these weapons could be helpful, as many other countries have implemented stricter gun laws have they have proven successful. I would propose that for someone to obtain a semi-automatic rifle the buyer should go through a mental health evaluation and, a firearms safety test along with a waiting period before you physically can obtain the firearm. This would be similar to obtaining a driver's license but, for that specific gun.

We used to be able to walk the streets not being afraid of what could happen next. We used to be able to go to events in big groups without worrying about not returning home the next day. Nowadays that has all changed. With the gun laws that are in place now, no one can assure their safety is secured. I believe that the gun laws we have should change and the only people allowed to have a gun should be policemen and those who are certified.
Americas are still shaken under the name Nikolas Cruz who did the shooting and took at least 17 lives in Florida school. That situation happens, even though guns are not allowed in school. We cannot imagine what will happen when guns are everywhere while students are studying. Bullying, studying, and mental development are three issues that we have to focus on if we let everyone in school has guns, especially college students.
How guns can be controlled and useful at the same time is that we can conserve them, by making sure that the wrong people such as kids don’t get a hold of the guns that might be put in their possession or somewhere the firearm can be hidden and the kids might find it. So it is very important to know what instructors are doing especially when it comes to guns and teaching little kids how dangerous they can be, until how they instructor's their students teach them how to use them responsibly also the other way that a concealed weapon can be dangerous if also a mentally unstable person gets a hold of a gun or just simply in possession with the wrong person. It's important to stand up for what you believe in for the reason of, you absolutely cannot let your beliefs or what you believe is right being bashed and ruined.
In her article, “Second thoughts on the Second Amendment”, Wendy Kaminer states that there are roughly 200 million firearms in circulation(Kaminer).
