Why Gay Marriage Should be Banned in Georgia

Georgia has always been a state where family values and community issues are important in our society. Many people that live in the southern United States have always been historically for conservative and or republican based values, this typically involves as christan background and faith which therefore the people of Georgia would not support because most people are Christians. Also there is a code of natural law that must be taken into consideration with regards to legalizing gay marriage in Georgia. The last and final issue that must be looked at by the state is how they impose their rights to society based off of influential media. Overall Georgian’s should not legalize gay marriage in our state, because gay marriage violates natural law, it destroys our states level of morality and conservatism, and it the gay community tries to impose its level of acceptance upon our society.

Historically Georgia has always believed that god, family, and country are what people believe in the south, thus our state is a part of the “Bible Belt”. The Bible belt is a considered a group of southern states in the USA that are home to predominantly christan, and conservative people. There are passages that are in the bible that clearly state that homosexuality is a sin and it destroys an individual’s morality. The book of timothy quotes this by stating “the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine, in accordance with the gospel of the glory of the blessed God with which I have been entrusted(English Standard).” That it is sinful and furthermore, one will face god’s judgment at the end of his or her existence. ...cause of the negative impact that it will have on our society, it destroys our sense of conservatism and sense of positive morality, it destroys and disturbs the natural laws of attraction in life, and Georgia should not support gay marriage because this group tries to convince that their sinful actions are ok and that now harm will come to the public. Clearly there are many issues with Gay marriage in our system known as the United States of America, and if Georgia was smart in their legislation, then we will not tolerate this sort of tyranny in our state, and will overall make a stand is being a Christian and family believing state.
