Most of us own some kind of pet, but about 70% of Americans own a cat or dog. Dogs are used in our everyday lives to protect and help others. Cats on the other hand are less active then a dog. Dogs are a lot more entertaining than cats and will keep you company. With any pet comes with reasonability it just depends how much work you are actually willing to do. Although cats are good pets, dogs are often known as a “mans best friend” and make flawless pets. Dogs are a lot more energetic, and are capable of helping us in our everyday lives. Dogs can sense when someone is upset. This is why they look at you with those puppy eyes and end up wanting to cuddle with you. Cats are more of a laid back easy animal to take care of. They are a lot less active than dogs. Cats pretty much bathe themselves and you never have to worry about taking them out to use the bathroom, which is probably the only plus about having a cat. They are not as smart as dogs are, and not as fun. People want to be able to play with their pets and not watch it sleep all day. Even though they don’t do much they are a lot easier to take care of. Especially when you have an outdoor cat you always have to worry about your pet bringing home some other dead animal because that’s what cats like to do. Cats are a lot more independent and are able to stay home for a longer period of time. Most cats don’t like to be walked, so when you try to find an excuse to go on a walk you can’t use your cat as one. Cats also have their crazy stage where they can just turn on you. Especially when being a half outdoor cat you have the risk of them bringing home something you don’t want. The scary thing is that if they scratch you, you can get cat scratch fever and end up landing in the hospital for a couple of days if it gets bad. Cats are not horrible animals, but if you want a pet that is going to be more entertaining cats are not
