What has violence ever accomplished? Why do we choose to be violent? Can you imagine a world without fighting, shootings, abuse, and terrorism, a world free of violence, what a better place it could be?
To begin, many people in todays society are violent. If you take a step back and analyze our civilization, you will notice the violence humans have towards other humans; humans that are just like themselves. But why this violence is arising? Throughout our childhood we tend to get the indication violence is the easiest way to solve our problems with other people. We think that if we just "beat someone up" we will be superior over that individual. Or if we punch and kick them, they will no longer bother you. That is not the way it is, in reality, these actions just provoke more anger and lead to additional violence and

At our own school, I see the violence first hand, students fight over disputes they have with one another in hope for a resolution, and there very rarely is one that comes out from it. In addition to this violence in our own community, it can also occur on a much greater scale. These utmost violent acts are when people chose to use weapons and firearms against people in a dangerous manner. In the United States guns can be accessed so effortlessly, but for what reason? The citizens may believe it is for their own protection, but really how is it safe for anyone to have proprietorship of a gun? When the guns get into the hands of the wrong peoples' it is no longer safe, and tragedies occur. From just one bullet to thousands of them, lives are disturbed. For instance, last week in Las Vegas the largest mass shooting in the United States occurred, this
There has been many projects done to stop shootings but I believe that there should be more laws and education to stop the violence used and shown as an exalted tool. The reason being, is because in my opinion children especially middle schoolers and under are very influential and should not be exposed to guns and weapons as a toy or game because it will introduce new ideas into their vulnerable minds. In addition, children see and model the behavior of adults therefore; if taught human morals at a young age children will better understand right and wrong and will be more prone to knowing that violence is not a solution more so a
Tragedy after tragedy, people find themselves mourning over the lives lost. And over and over again, they look back to see how they could have prevented it. People continue to argue and constantly debate what actions should be taken, and while doing so, more and more people lose their lives at the hands of gun violence. It’s clear to see that not much has been done to keep these weapons out of the wrongs hands: the shootings at Columbine High School and Virginia Tech have shown that. What would happen if there were to be another devastating shooting to occur? How would people react? Or would they just argue some more, while the wrong people can still easily get a hold of guns? The only way they can ever gain control of anything is by controlling the source of the problem, where people are able to freely purchase guns without restrictions. In order to reduce gun-related crime, unlicensed gun sellers should be required to run background checks on their customers.
Through the year’s shootings have increased by a significant amount. Individuals are becoming affected on a regular basis and are concerned about there safety. Parents are worried for there youth getting assaulted, sexually violence, tormented, kidnaped, murdered on the other hand, now there ending up to be more stressed for there child getting shot. Guns have been around for hundredths of years, both world wars were succeeded with guns, hence, guns were served to defend its nation through history. In Western society citizens purchase guns for self preservation. Unfortunately, they are utilized in opposing ways, the majority of crimes are involved in gun shootings; this is an essential issue in America. Most agree that gun violence will have
The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton proves the point that violence can be justified if necessary. To inflict change in their lives people often fight with violence instead of peace to evoke change. The world strives for change everyday whether or not you like it. How the people create a change in society whether they use peace or war, it is up to them to decide how to modify our ever changing world. Violence and fight between the Socs and Greasers tells us that both can be justified if it inflicts positive change in society. ‘
Violence in all of its manifestations is based on an exercise of power. It represents a means to gain power, to maintain power, or as a response to a threat to one's power. As long as a society maintains the legitimacy of social hierarchies, of the right of some people to have power over others, there will be violence. One can either seek to diffuse the concentration of power or to control violence. By its very character, the attempt to control violence is self-defeating. The control will itself become violent.

There are more cases of children and young adults, engaging in violence. Gun violence leads to the death of many civilians annually. Gun violence touches every segment of our society. Gun violence has been and continues to be one of the major problems in American. The U.S. has the highest rate of gun ownership in the world and consequently the highest rate of gun violence and fatalities compared to other developed countries. In a study by the University of Sydney it is estimated that there are 270,000,000 to 310,000,000 guns in the United States. According to the same study in 2010 there were 31,672 fatalities caused by firearms and on the following year the number went up to 32,163. Homicides resulting from guns are high in the United States and they are claiming more than eleven thousand lives every year (Guns in the United States: Firearms, Armed Violence and Gun Law). According to Vision for Humanity, an initiative for the Economics and Peace, the United States is ranked 99 out of 162 countries in the 2013 global peace index, homicide rates and violent crimes are among the various criteria used to determine the ranking (Vision of Humanity). Mass shootings at work places, schools, shopping malls and places of worship are happening in an a...
Americans are faced with a huge problem of violence in the streets, these streets have become a place where old people are beaten for their social security checks, where little women are attacked and raped, where teen aged thugs shoot it out for some turf to sell their illegal drugs, and finally where small children everyday are caught in the way of bullets during drive by shootings. We try to ignore the criminals in our society and how they hurt it, but we shouldn’t. We should take actions to stop these acts of crazy people. And people try, but the hard work of some misguided individuals to stop the legal ownership of guns doesn’t really affect the problem at all, and takes the guns from the innocent citizens, who simply want means of self defense.
School shootings, gang violence, drive by shootings, murder, and thousands of acts of violence are committed every day. Members of our society criticize their own people for this violence while they continue to sit back and do nothing about it. These acts of violence have many contributing factors. Violence in our country today is escalating because we don't control the distribution of the guns sold. There are not enough restrictions on guns sold legally. The illegal purchase of guns through the black market is out of control. There is not enough education on the usage and storage of guns.
Guns have the potential to inflict serious injuries, and intensify violence. Gun violence is a constant issue the United States has dealt with for many years. Gun violence is preventable. It can be prevented through a public health approach that keeps communities and families safe. Violence is an epidemic in this society. Preventing the spread of violence has to be a priority.
Gun violence has reached an all-time high. After the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, widespread concern forced legislators to take a second look at our gun laws. When twenty children and six educators were gunned down, many citizens were outraged and begged authorities to pass more stringent gun laws because with fewer guns, there could possibly be fewer incidents involving gun violence. Many people believe that the widespread availability of guns is making society unsafe. Each year, nearly 100,000 Americans are shot, 32,000 of them die, 47 children are shot every day, and eight of them die, according to the U.S. News Digital Weekly. In order to solve this problem, more stringent background checks should be required by all applicants, restriction and enforcement on the sale of guns at gun shows need to improve, and the availability of automatic weapons should be limited.
Gun violence is the leading cause of death in the United States. In recent news, we see school shootings and shootings in general occurring more often than usual. It is not hard at all to acquire a gun in the United States. Currently, many states have weak gun laws, which can lead to guns falling into the wrong hands. Guns are the cause of most of the crime in the United States, we need to enhance gun laws/gun control so that it is harder to possess a gun in public space.
There isn’t another argumentative issue in the United States as big as guns being reprimanded from our population. Gun violence has plagued our nation for years now and nothing has ever been done about it. Each year there has been tens of thousands of people are injured or killed by firearms. There has been almost two dozen school shootings in the start of 2018 alone and there will probably be many more by the time 2018 is over. Are guns the reason behind these acts of violence happening, or is it the person behind the gun?
Violence is what the world lives off of to protect each other. By this I mean, no matter what the situation may be there is mostly a higher percentage that violence will occur. Not because people want it to occur, but because it's the easier way out and will capture the other people’s attention. Let's take the United States of America for an example. We love our freedom and are country is considered the "land of the free", correct? Yes. But, in order to have our freedom we have to fight for it. This being, not everyone, such as other countries, agree with our freedom and how we have such an organized and wealthy government. The outcome of situations such as these is war, and violence. Not intentional, but we have to do so in order to protect our people and our land. All I'm say is violence sometimes has to be taken into action, but the better way out is nonviolence.
One of the problems in our society is violence. We have various kinds of violence. Teenagers in a gang, gun violence, and race violence. This violence among the street and homes has become extremely dangerous to be around. Neighborhoods has become so violence to visit, parents are afraid to tell young peers, “that is not right what you are doing”, you cannot swipe children any more like they did back in the days, and parents did not get angry. Children are afraid to go to school, because of the guns being brought into the schools. Children and adults do not feel safe. There are so much being shown on television, it is not good for children to watch, so much shooting, sex and evil being shown.
