What is one thing to change in a schools dress code? How would that change affect everyone around you? I believe one change should be students ability to wear a hat because it gets very cold in the winter, not wearing a hat makes it easier to get sick, a hat would prevent us from getting sick as much. Here are three reasons why schools should change the dress code to allow students to wear hats. One reason is because it gets very cold in the winter. We should get to wear hats because of the coldness when it rains, snows or very high powered winds. Car riders get out and have to walk in the cold. They have a higher chance to get sick. Here is two more reasons why students should be able to wear hats at school. Secondly, hats are good because
it is very easy to get sick without them. It’s easier to get sick by more of students heads being uncovered in cold weather. We need to protect our brain from the cold and our ears from frostbite in the snowy weather. It’s also easier to the flu or pneumonia. Both pneumonia and the flu have caused people to die. Here is one more reason hats should be permitted in schools. Finally, hats are important because they protect us from the cold, sickness, and keeps us dry in the winter rain. The diseases i talked earlier are deadly to younger people as well as adults. Hats would help us stay dry and healthy. Students would not get sick as often and would be able to learn better in school. That is the final reason hats should be allowed in schools and the dress code be changed. Hats should be allowed in school because of cold weather , chances of getting sick is higher and they protect from illness. What is one thing you would change and how would it affect you?
Dress codes have been an issue lately in some schools. Most kids are against it but I believe that there should be dress codes in all schools. This would be a good idea because it would reduce violence and bullying, eliminate the problem of wearing hats or jackets and they are less expensive.
Uniforms are seen in almost every country in the world, but they are not really common in public schools in the United States. Some people think that wearing uniforms is a good idea while others oppose it. In my case, I had to wear uniforms at school when I started 1st grade up till my senior year in Vietnam. I found out that there are a lot of benefits for middle school and high school students when they are required to wear uniform at school in the United States.
One of the most controversial topics revolving around schooling is the weather students should or should not wear uniforms to improve academic and social behavior. Many sources say that school uniforms improve discipline, attendance, lower criminal activity, and increase academic achievement in students; Furthermore, this is due to less distraction and conforming to the idea that uniforms makes you smarter. This false ideology that is expected from school uniforms has not been proven in any way to work and is more of a waste of the tax-payers money than an improvement. There are more outlying factors that contribute to success or failure than just uniforms and pro-advocates do not get this big picture. The most outspoken reasons why to use
One school rule that I think should be changed is the dress code. Some things on our dress code should be changed. Such as fingertip length shorts, shoulders not being able to be shown (tank tops). Some schools are even beginning to banned leggings and yoga pants. Since I think these should be changed, I will be explaining all of my reasons for each dress code mistake.
What has this world come to, school uniforms? Kids don’t want to wear school uniforms. They want to be able to express their personality. So this research will be talking about how kids don’t like uniforms and they want to express their self in their own clothes of their choice. If the people got rid of uniforms the world will still be the same, it won’t be the end of the world. If people want kids to wear uniforms then the people should wear uniforms for the job that people work in. The uniforms have to go. This paper is arguing that the school uniforms is not the next big thing and that they should go.
Once again I think school uniforms are the way to go. With just adding uniform there would be so much less problems. Kids wouldn't be bullied as much, parents would spend less money on buying new trendy clothes, girls wouldn't be as tempted to break the code, boys wouldn't be “distracted” by girls as teachers would say. With just one simple thing to be added so many problems could
Uniforms encourage modesty and also reduces the need for discipline from teachers because a student is not following dress code. When uniforms are in place, children come to class looking professional, which can promote a better learning environment. The last, and possibly the most important reason why I believe school uniforms are necessary is for social equality. School uniforms reduce the stress children feel when trying to fit in with their peers. Without them, some children may be alienated because their economic background reflects the clothes they wear.
School uniforms in public schools are becoming increasingly popular across the nation. The public school system would benefit greatly if this policy were to be adopted. Opposition is always a factor when trying to make changes. Taking all things into consideration, the positive effects would be far greater than the negative effects. School uniforms should be required in public schools because their use would lead to higher education, less violence, and lower cost to parents.
Choosing what to wear for the day. This is what most students are thinking about when they wake up. Students need the latest fashion in order to fit in, but some clothing may not be acceptable to wear in school. School dress codes are denying students their right to dress how they want, but the dress code is important for the students and their learning. Students are beginning to stand up and want to be heard. Some students are taking action and want the dress code to become less strict but some schools are doing the opposite for safety issues and for the students healthy learning environment. Dress codes are important for a strong and healthy learning environment and is also reducing violence in many schools around the country.
the clothe that they wear, their appearance, and their manifestation in front of people, and
Pants below waist, baggy shirts with sexist signs, and piercings, this is not a good view early in the morning. That’s why the school should implement a uniform policy. Uniforms should be mandatory in school. Uniforms make the school appear more professional. Also with uniforms students won’t compare themselves with each other. Moreover uniforms can help students save time. Additionally parents won’t have to waste so much money on clothes hence will have a better budget.
Did you know that as many as twenty-five percent of the nation?s pubic elementary, middle, and junior high schools have successfully implemented a school uniform policy? (Isaacson, 1998) School uniforms greatly benefit both the students and faculty by creating an atmosphere in which the students are able to get the most out of their education. I believe that all students should wear school uniforms regardless of whether or not the school is public. Below are clear-cut arguments in favor of school uniforms.
Bill Clinton once said, “People will learn to evaluate themselves by what they are on the inside to evaluate themselves by what they are on the inside, instead of what they’re wearing on the outside, then our public schools should be able to require students to wear school uniforms.” Public schools across America are searching to improve safety, school belonging and also help parents save money & students save time getting ready. One way to improve these issues would be to implement a uniform policy. The adoption of school uniforms policies will reach what public schools across America are searching for.
I don’t think children or teens should have to wear school uniforms. It deprives them of their freedom of speech. They should have the right to wear what they want when they want. The uniforms are degrading and appalling. Everything would be dull and boring if everyone looked the same and wore the same stuff! Whatever happened to our U.S. Constitution? Some kids become stressed out and could get depressed because they cannot choose what they can wear, In Our own country? The land of the free and the home of the brave and we can’t even choose what we wear? The effect would be: students becoming angry and violent, and worst case scenario, suicide.
Finally, Joyce will summarise our arguments, convincing you, without a doubt, that school uniforms MUST be enforced in all schools. Point 1 (Brian): Having school uniforms will greatly lift the feeling of teamwork and sense of school spirit and belonging, and is a benefit for students. According to SafeSchools.edublogs.org, school uniform programs make it easier for students to develop a sense of belonging at school because greater attention is given to who they are instead of what they wear. School uniforms will make students feel that they are part of school and not whatever new trend they are wearing, which is beneficial to them. Another example is from an article on www.rjmccarthy.com, which tells us that logos on school uniforms enhance spirit and pride, and creates a more “community” feel among students.
