Sports are a huge part of American Culture which I love. Many people, like me, find sports to be a way to relieve stress, whether it be watching or participating. Also sports have been a gateway to many great endeavors in people’s lives. Everyone has their own favorite sport; my favorite is football.
Football has helped me get to where I am now. Through the sport, I was able to gain interest in multiple schools and eventually getting a scholarship. That scholarship eventually lead to me attend Alderson Broaddus University and playing football. It all started from youth football which lead to me receive interest from a few prestigious private schools. Instead of attending those schools, I saved my family money and attended the local public school. …show more content…

Football basically has its own days; NFL Sunday, NFL Monday and NFL Thursday. During those days, mainly Sundays, my family, like others, sits together while watching the games, eating food, and bonding together. Another example of how football brings others together is the many friends I’ve made through my 9 years of playing. I went through school without having a lot of friends until football and now I have many friends through my teammates.
Playing football was one of the greatest feelings and experiences I’ve ever had. It was basically my escape from reality. It used to be the only thing I ever wanted to do. All of the adrenaline pumping was so exhilarating to me and the feeling of being on the field and competing made me feel great. Football impacts multiple lives, for instance, a good friend of mine literally had nothing before playing football but he is now on his way to playing college football.
In conclusion, sports are big part of the American culture and are without a doubt my favorite aspect of this great culture. I love all sports but none have my heart like football. With the great things it has done for, not only me but, others as well. No other sport holds that special place in my heart like
