The highest paid Cubs player will make 19 million dollars in 2012. The lowest paid Cubs player will make 417,000 in 2012. The highest paid Bulls player will make 13.5 million in 2012. The lowest paid Bulls player will make 850,000 in 2012. As you can see these players might have a difference between what they get paid but this is how athletes get over paid. Athletes make more money in a season than an average family makes a year decade. As an example my parents both work multiple jobs and can hardly pay bills. My sister Riley and I have to get money by selling stuff that we don’t want anymore or work around the house if we want something. At the same time athletes are getting millions of dollars just to entertain people and we work to help people. When you grow up without a lot of money you can’t get new things. All my cloths are hand-me-downs I bet most of the athletes had hand-me-downs when they were growing up. Once athletes start getting money it’s new to them so they go out and waste it. For instance, some athletes get overwhelmed and they don’t know how to plan for the future. On the contrary, growing up in a rich home might have helped the player not waste their money. Most athletes use their money to get things they don’t need, but Casey Blake used his money to improve things in his home town. For instance, some athletes just use their money for big and fancy houses with a lot of rooms and big tv’s for no reason. They also buy a lot of name brand clothes and shoes that they don’t need.
