Long ago in the Middle East, the Islamic Empire expanded in different ways. They expanded so much that their empire is known to be one of the biggest in history. In the following essay, you will learn how the early Islamic Empire expanded. One important way the Islamic Empire expanded was the Battle of the Yarmulke. In 636 CE Muslim forces took control of Syria when they fought the Eastern Roman Empire in the Battle of Yarmulke. The Greece was actually part of the Eastern Roman Empire. During this bloody battle, the Muslims gathered together while the Greeks marched agaisnt them. Why and how did Islam spread so quickly? I will give three reasons to answer this question. One answer is because of the large trading happening, two is that muslims are protected by Islam, three is because of the religion Muhammad created was attractive to people.

The Ottoman Empire was one of the most powerful empires in history, spanning from the 13th century in Northwestern Anatolia, to the late 19th century having reached Europe, Africa, and Asia respectively. As the rest of the world advanced and modernized, though, the Ottoman Empire struggled to maintain power and territory, and it began to implement a series of reforms to try to keep up with the likes of Europe. This is where we eventually see the once-prosperous empire struggle against the rest of the modern world, which eventually led to its downfall.
The Ottoman Empire reached the peak of its power in the 1500s. While other empires were experiencing their downfalls, the Ottoman Empire’s power seemed to be increasing. In fact, this empire can be ranked as the strongest power due to its tactical internal organization of power, minorities, and religion, due to its physical expansion which provided more resources, more advancements, and more people to support the empire, and due to its large military strength that provided security, reduced rebellion, and challenged the other powers.
Much of past civilizations have endured many failures and triumphs throughout their existence. In the third century, there were many civilizations that started to flourish. One of these civilizations that started to expand was the Byzantine civilization. The Byzantine civilization, also regarded as Byzantium, was part of the Roman Empire which was divided in 395 AD. Byzantium had shared the same attitude, as the Roman Empire, toward exercising its authority over its citizens and throughout its empire. The Islamic civilization had started thrive in the fifth century. The Islamic civilization was unified together as unison by Islam and it has expanded its civilization throughout parts of Europe through jihad. Because of their expansions throughout parts of Europe, they shared various similarities which include their political system, social structure, and economy.
500-1000 CE was a very interesting and eventful period in our history. People refer to this period as the Middle Ages or Dark Ages, and usually say that it was a time of turmoil for a large portion of the world. Although, the terms Middle Ages and Dark ages only apply to Europe. Many other countries and civilizations went through a period called the Golden Age, which is when the greatest of achievements are accomplished. An example of a civilization that went through the Golden Age is the Islamic Civilization. The Islamic Civilization is considered to have had a Golden Age at that time because of the rise of two powerful caliphates, cultural diffusion, and a scholastic increase.
The religious, social, political and economical climates of seventh century Arabia, also known as pre-Islamic Arabia, contributed immensely to the emergence of Islam.
In the early-modern period(1500-1800s), powers became actively involved in global trades, colonization and slaves trades.
