Rome at its time was one of the biggest and most powerful empires in the world. Everything was in order from Rome but typically all good things must end. Rome was first founded by the first of seven kings, Romulus, on April 21st, 753 BCE. In the first century BC Rome became a republic. Slowly Rome started to become an empire when Julius Caesar was titled as the dictator for life. After Julius Caesar was assassinated, Octavian who took on the name “Augustus” became the new emperor of Rome being Julius’s adopted son and nephew. He soon brought peace to the republic and turned Rome into an empire. But this empire did not last. It had fallen for multiple reasons like unemployment, inferior technology, and urban decay.
The fall of Rome was not an accidental event, it was caused my multiple errors, one being unemployment. Unemployment in Ancient Rome was not rare. Everyone was also affected no matter who you were or the job you had. Because everyone was unemployed people were forced out of their homes and onto the street. At one time more than 100,000 people were unemployed in the city of Rome. This lead to the emperor having to feed all of the homeless people of Rome. The more unemployment the less goods which causes higher prices. Making

As the population grew in Rome updates were needed to make Rome more updated and advanced. This meant they did a lot of animal and human labored jobs. Soon enough Rome was too busy working on things like roads that they did not have time to update or create new machines. The decline in machines that were made for basic goods caused a decline in everything. Romans also relied on slave labor in everything instead of basic and new technology. So when slaves worked on farms the farm relied solely on the slaves which resulted in less food being produced. The combination of high population and the decline in goods resulted in an immediate crash all over Rome which affected
Rome was once one of the world's greatest empire until around 200 BCE when Rome started to crumble. The Fall of Rome did not happen suddenly, it took about 1100 years to take place. The first two centuries as an empire were named the "Pax Romana", which meant the time of Roman peace. The Romans were living the life, without a worry in the world. So how and why did Rome start to collapse, if the empire was was doing so grand and magnificent? To answer that question, the primary reasons that Rome started to decline were that the Romans had difficulty with their government which caused social problems/decay, their military was falling behind on their duties and became indolent, and natural disasters.
The year is 476 A.D. and the Roman Empire has collapsed after being overthrown by barbarians. Looking back, the causes of Rome’s decline can be separated into four categories, social, economic, military, and political. The social aspects of Rome’s fall are the rise of christianity and civil wars. The rise of christianity displaced Rome’s polytheistic roots which viewed the emperor as having a godly status. Pope and church leaders took an increased role in political affairs which further complicated governance. Civil wars also deteriorated the empire. More than 20 men took the throne in only 75 years and the empire was thrust into chaos. The economic aspects of Rome’s fall were high taxes from the government and labor deficit. The roman empire
The economics of the Roman Empire soon hit rock bottom due to the high taxation to support the army. Gold was also eroding since Rome was no longer bringing new resources through the expansion. Emperors then tried to mint coins out of silver and copper instead and the end result was inflation and dramatic rises in Noochintra 2 prices on goods. There were many things that brought Rome to its downfall, but the biggest one was the violence and the ruthless ambition of men such as Marius, Sulla, and of course Julius Caesar. That ultimately destroyed the Roman republic.
Rome was one of the greatest empires of the ancient world. The early Roman state was founded in 509 B.C. after the Romans drove out the hated Etruscan king. By this time Rome had already grown from a cluster of small villages to a small city. Little did the settlers know that this was the beginning of one of the greatest and largest empires ever known.
What can cause a strong empire to fall? Rome is known for having many achievements that have helped to advance culture such as, aqueducts, irrigation systems, and trade. They also helped improve the structure of cities by plotting them in grids which are still used today. Also, religions were taken very seriously. In fact, it got so serious that rulers insisted that they were to be worshiped as the god. Religion was a huge part of Rome’s structure. But when conflicts of religions surfaced, failure rose. Religion may not seem like a huge issue, but actually, it is one of the biggest problems known in history. This along with poor leaders and urban decay has contributed to the decline of Rome.
In the glory days of Rome, the empire was safe. People got along very well, large scale public works including bathhouses and aqueducts were built. A single emperor had control of one of the largest empires in history. Great games and festivities rang throughout the land. But, all glory eventually comes to an end. With the largest empire at the time, Rome had an equal fall from grace. Rome fell because of the political corruption, inflation and the decline in morals of its citizens.
The Roman Empire was the most powerful Empire during Antiquity. It is traditionally considered to have “fallen” in 476, when Rome’s last emperor was deposed. Many theories have been presented as to why it fell, from unsound economic and social policies to mass lead poisoning. The actual cause of Rome’s fall is the result of many factors, but was mainly caused by Rome’s poor economic policies.
The Roman government had many debts to pay. They also had to find a way to fund for the upkeep and development of its roads and army. The government decided to excessively tax the people, who viewed this as unjust. Much of Rome’s wealth came from the wealthy places it conquered, but they eventually reached a point where there were no longer any wealthy rivals to conquer. The Roman Empire never actually established an efficient currency system, and eventually, due to inflation, money became worthless. The empire that was once known for its excessively elaborate architecture and system of roads began to fade away because of its loss of wealth. Also, their trading stopped because of the dangers involved in traveling. This caused small farmers to eventually completely die out, or hide behi...
In 27 BC, Augustus became the first emperor of Rome, thus creating a strong leader figure, which could shape and mold the Republic system into what was best for the empire or themselves. During the reign of the emperors, the political policies for Rome would vary according to, which emperor was in power. Not only were politics shaky, but also there never was a clear-cut method of succession for the man who controlled those politics. Rome had created the position of emperor in hopes that men like Augustus would continue to lead her into prosperity, however the office of emperor struggled in attempting to find great men to lead Rome. The office never truly evolved into something greater than when it had been created, but rather the office varied according to the personality of the man in the position.
...eat. Every decision that Rome made had a great affect on the city itself and the rest of the world. Many foolish emperors weakened the city and eventually cause the many aspects of life to crumble. The social issues were that no one took interest into Public affairs. The Political issues were that because no one took any public interest in government jobs, because there were not looked at as something that was good. The Economic issues were that they had poor harvest. Food was scarce people needed food so they went after it. The Germanic tribes started taking over the western half of the empire.
Rome was known for many things such as their coliseum there culture but many people really know rome for their empire. Rome had the most strongest empire that their has ever been. The Roman empire lasted for 200 years. The reason Rome became so powerful and rich is because they had one of the biggest and strongest army in the world and that helped them take over land and other things. Rome had it ups and downs but then during the roman empire things happened that made the empire to collapse.
After the assassination of Julius Caesar on 44 B.C, Augustus became the first emperor (27 B.C-A. D 14) who transformed the declining Roman Republic into the stable Roman Empire. His military tactics, political diplomacy, and innovative constitutional policies led Rome to witness a long period of peace, economic prosperity and stability that lasted for almost 200 years during the period of Pax Romana. The era of “Pax Romana” refers to the peaceful phase of Rome which lasted from the time of 27 B.C.E to 180 C.E. Though Augustus never claimed the title of king for himself, he concerned himself with all the aspects of the empire. He won popularity among the Romans for his generosity and good deeds toward the people.
...on military expansion as it put strain on the Roman government as it cost them many economic and military casualties as they were losing a load of money hiring soldiers to invade and often replace them when they died without gaining from the lands they conquered. In my opinion, this is the major factor pertaining to the collapse of the Roman Empire. The political corruption allowed the Praetorian Guard to be above the law and announce whoever they wanted as Emperor regardless of whether they were capable of the task. The dependence on slave labour caused high unemployment and the stagnation of technology for the last 400 years of the Roman Empire. The Roman Empire is said to have completely collapsed when the German barbarians overthrew the last Emperor, Romulus Augustus in 476 and introduced a more democratic form of government which was very short-lived.
One reason the Roman Empire fell was because it was suffering from major economic problems. For instance, they relied heavily on
They were being taxed excessively, and therefore, whatever these people received went in vain because it was used by elites of Rome to carry out other drives. Many of individuals lost their freedom whereby most powerful males lost their authority after Rome gained control. In over-all, people lives became further limited. Thirdly, the conquest led to the slave trade.
