Why Hitler Hated Jews

Adolf Hitler was born on April 20, 1889, in Braunau am Inn, a town in Austria. Although he was not born in Germany, he was the Führer leader of the Nazi Party and the Chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945. Hitler started WWII in Europe by attacking Poland. Hitler once said, "If I am ever really in power, the destruction of the Jews will be my first and most important job.” He said this because he didn't like Jews and that if he was the ruler his first job would be to kill all Jews. According to the book Why Did Hitler Hate Jews, Hitler “caused the deaths of at least 11 million people, including the mass murder of an estimated six million Jews.” Why did Hitler hate Jews? People believed that Hitler hated Jews for three different reasons. Those reasons are a history of hate, of Jewish people in Germany, blaming Jewish people for the loss of WWI and Hitler’s belief in a superior race.

History of Anti-Jewish People

One of the reasons that Hitler hated Jews was he had hostility or prejudice against Jewish people. In Germany, there was a lot of anti - semitism. There were a lot of people angry in Europe in the 1900s. In the book Why Did Hitler Hate Jews the author explained that “The term anti-semitism dates back to the 1870’s, however, even in ancient times there was a great deal of

hostility towards the Jewish people.” Many Jews were kicked out of their homes. Hitler didn’t like Jews and in fact he even blamed them for lots of things that happened to him and his country after WWI.

fought in WWI. His country Germany lost the war so he blamed it on the Jews. Many people still hated Jews after WWI. This was the beginning of his hatred initially. Before this Hitler didn’t actually hate Jews. However, after Germany’s loss in World War I, Hitler blamed the Jews. Hitler did not like losing the war. According to statements made by Hitler, “I’ve always blamed the Jews for Germany’s defeat in the last ‘world war’ in 1918.” Hitler believed that the Jews were getting in the way of Germany’s recovery after the war ended.

Many people in Germany blamed the Jews for losing the war due to the betrayal within Germany’s army.

On the Anne Frank website it said, “Hitler claimed that Jews were not only responsible for the unfair German defeat, but were also blocking Germany’s recovery.” The Treaty of Versailles that was signed in 1919 made Germany give up large areas of land and paid painfully high reparations to the allied victors.” Hitler was mad because Germany lost a lot of land. According to the book Why Did Hitler Hate Jews, in 1923 he tried to take over Bavaria a section of Germany. This attempted takeover was called the Beer Hall Putsch. His attempt failed and he went to

Believed in Superior Race
The third reason Hitler hated Jews was he believed that pure Germans were the superior race. When he was in prison, he wrote a book called Mein Kampf, which means my struggle. In the book he wrote that Jewish people were less human. He predicted “the end of the Jewish people living in Germany.” According to the Mein Kampf racial doctrine, Jews was an inferior race that were poisoning Germany and therefore did not belong in

the community.” Hitler thought that pure Germans were better and that they were the pure Aryan race. In the book Why Did Hitler Hate Jews it said that “Hitler believed that the “pure race” of Germans who were called the Aryan race, were superior to other human beings.” He wanted to develop a perfect race of humans. According to Why Did Hitler Hate Jews, he was obsessed with a pure race and said, “The annihilation of the Jews must be the necessary consequence.” From 1933 to 1939 Hitler wanted the Aryan race to dominate and the first concentration camps were opened in 1933. He intended to kill all Jewish people or people who were not the Aryan race. The Nuremberg Laws that were passed in 1935 said people with three or four Jewish grandparents were not pure. In the book Why Did Hitler Hate Jews “the Nuremberg Laws started Kristallnacht, which was when the Nazis broke windows of Jewish stores in 1938.”
Conclusion
When Adolf Hitler was in power he and the Nazi’s killed lots of Jews, he sent many of them to concentration camps, beat them, and burned their homes. Adolf Hitler hated Jews for three different reasons. There was a history of hating Jewish people in Germany, he blamed the Jewish people for losing WWI and he believed in a superior race. In 1941 every Jewish person had to wear a yellow star. It was his final decision to identify and kill all the Jewish people. According to the Anne Frank website Hitler said in 1941 “with respect to the Jews, therefore, I will only operate on the assumption that they will disappear. We must exterminate the Jews wherever we find them.”
By the year 1945 Germany was losing WWII. Hitler wrote his will and he blamed the loss of the war on the Jewish people again. Hitler told all the German people to observe the racial laws to have the Aryan race dominate. On April 30, 1945, Hitler killed himself by committing suicide. The war was ending and the Jewish people were being freed. Hitler had lots of power, but he did many bad things to innocent people. It is still hard to understand how he could hate Jewish people so much.
